This pan is amazing, exactly as expected from Le Creuset. The heat distribution is excellent, it cooks evenly, and it feels incredibly solid and well made. It’s a joy to use and performs beautifully for everything from frying to shallow sautéing. I never considered myself a “brand snob,” but Le Creuset really doesn’t help me keep that promise—I’m so impressed that I just keep buying more. The quality genuinely justifies it. A fantastic pan that feels like it will last a lifetime. Worth every penny.

Brilliant heavyweight pan - in almost daily use. Shows no sign of wear.

Get it in a sale, it’s just the best pan for the job but if you can get it for 30% less definitely worth waiting for. Well balanced, sturdy, heats evenly, just a great pan.

I chose to season this pan from the start - in my opinion a good move as it makes it genuinely non-stick. It's hard to beat the solid quality of any pot / pan when they are made to this standard. Expensive? Yes, but you only buy once. For me, nothing gets five stars unless its something I would repeat buy.

I didn't think I would say this, but after a month's cooking with it: 'It's worth the money'.

Warped on the first heat. Wouldn't lay flat on a glass top afterwards. The pan heats quite evenly though.

UPDATE 4-years later: I bought this pan in 2020 and it is still flawless. Not a single blemish on the pan. Those pictures you’re seeing. Those are FOUR YEARS AFTER PURCHASE! I need to meet these owners. I swear to god the pan is made out of magic. These pan makers are straight up wizard. It makes no sense. I use the pan every single day and every single day it goes on and on without getting a single scratch. It is working at exactly the same level as the day I bought. I will never use another pan as long as I live. I’ve requested every version of this pan for Christmas. In terms of value received, this pan is among one of the top five things I’ve ever bought. It makes no sense how it has lasted this long without getting a single scratch or blemish. Oh and there’s no question this pan has the best non-stick surface in existence. I haven’t had a single thing ever stick to the pan ever. Not the edge of bacon or a small piece of egg. Nothing has stuck to the pan ever. It all just glided along as if it were made of magic ice. Listen carefully. If you know how to take care of your cookware, this pan is the best pan on the planet. I’m writing this review over a year and a half after purchase. The photo in my review is after 18 months of use. The pan works just as well as it did on day 1. Why? Because I take good care of the pan. I clean it immediately after use (~15 minutes) and once it has cooled down. I’ve never used soap or a sponge on the pan. I literally just use water and wipe it down with a cloth after. I use the pan to cook bacon, eggs, fried rice among other things. Nothing has even remotely stuck to the pan ever. Everything including bacon, sticky white rice and eggs just glides around the pan. Water and no sponge is all that is ever needed to clean it. It wipes clean. The photo above was taken five minutes after I made breakfast fried rice. Wiped clean with a napkin. Don’t listen to the other reviews above. This is the pan. I hate cleaning messes and prefer non-stick pans. I’ve run the entire gamut of non-stick pans and this is best in show. The reason I’m even here to review it because I saw a negative review as I just purchasing the 8 inch and 10 inch version of the pan.
