This watch works well in temperatures hovering at 0 degrees Fahrenheit. It is attached to my vest on the outside so I can keep track of time and do vitals. I am amazed at the durability for such a low price. Yes it is not very impact resistant but the 4 watches on 4 different patrollers have only had one watch fail in 4 months of skiing (approximately 25 - 9 hour days each). They are on our vest which is just like a coat when it comes to putting it in the car etc.

I don't like wearing wristwatches and so I've carried a pocket watch for some time now. I love pocket watches, but under many circumstances, it is very inconvenient pulling one out. This pendant watch is an excellent compromise. It instantly, but securely clips to a belt loop and is read in an instant; it also unclips without binding. The face is large enough for easy reading although I wish the hands were black or otherwise easier to see. The watch is surprisingly heavy, is chrome plated with a SS back. I don't know, but I think the case may be brass, judging from its weight. The crystal is hard mineral and so far seems to resist scratching. The carabiner is sturdy and should hold up, but not for mountain climbing. It comes with no information, so I don't know if it is waterproof or even where it is made (China I assume). Keeps time and I am pleased with it.

The watch is a basic quartz device, nothing special. The case is metal and seems pretty durable. However, the black paint wears off rather quickly. Underneath is the plain metal version. If I had to buy again, I would get the plain metal version instead of the. black one. Otherwise, this is a reasonably accurate, durable watch, and a good value.

Firstly, I was most impressed by the substantial nature of these time pieces.......they are NOT cheaply / lightly made......it has now been 48 hours, and both time pieces are right on time and most accurate.......HIGHLY recommended....and cant beat the price......

I love clip on watches. I also am hard on equipment. I bought 3 .. two as gifts and one as a replacement for my old watch (watches do not go through the washing machine well) (a possible problem with clip ons) . This new watch stopped working for me after only a few days with normal usage for me. Although advertised as mildly water resistant 30m , I dropped it once into the sink; and the sink did it in. I am much happier with a competitor's (currently) $35 clip on watch.

They seem high quality, but they didn’t come with instructions. I’m sure I can figure it out, but still inconvenient.Two week update:I was able to get the watch to work and set up by removing a piece of orange plastic which I figured out from another review. The first watch that I bought and set up had the minute hand break within the first two weeks. I can still use the secondhand to measure someone’s heart rate if I have to and maybe I’ll do that but it’s useless for telling time. I’m keeping this at three stars, for one it came with two watches, and it was pretty cheap to the next watch. Might last me the rest of my life, I have no idea. Maybe this was a fluke.

I like this clock really well. I'm not sure how accurate it is --- but it is more accurate than the digital fob this one replaced.
