Based on her review I decided to buy the book, which arrived this morning. It is every bit as good as her review states; a lot of information; the history of massage, a chapter on the various systems of the body, with good basic diagrams. The chapter on massage techniques was excellent, along with the one on massage routines. There is also a chapter on modifying massage treatment and other types of physical therapy.Also very useful is the legislation chapter, for good practice and setting up a business, and then to top it all, as well as there being tests at the end of each chapter, there are 40 multiple choice questions at the end of the book to help in examination preparation. The answers aren't in the book, so you can't cheat, but you can get them online. I would like to stress that it is very basic and if you're wanting to learn something new or more in depth about massage after you've finished college then this probably won't satisfy you. The section about starting your own business is about three pages long and I found it useless, I got a lot more information about that sort of thing just by researching on the Internet for myself. This book is fine for revising things like basic anatomy.
