Hi this is an aftershave, so you are not going to eat it or use it for cooking. Has no animal content so I think it is o.k.

can it be used as aftershave

As a user for many years I wouldn't dream confusing it in that way. A 50ml bottle lasts me around 6 months using 3 small squirts per day, so using it as an aftershave would be really expensive.
