We saw this on Sorted Food, and immediately had to get them. Excellent purchase. I am extremely clumsy when cooking, and this has already saved me from burning myself on my oven racks. Easy to install, and once it's installed you don't have to worry about it.

The shields arrived quickly and were well packaged. I did not realize that they were not heat resistant to 500 degrees. The paperwork recommends not using them at a temp above 446 degrees Fahrenheit. Since I often roast things at 450 degrees, this will mean taking the shields off and putting them back on frequently. I just looked again at the item on Amazon, and there is no temperature limit in the description. If I scroll through additional images, there was one image that states that they are save to 446 degrees. I really wish that was mentioned in the item description and not in an image. They feel good once on the rack but take some time to put on each rack. Hopefully taking them on and off frequently will not degrade the product's fit on the oven rack.

Great product for preventing oven rack burns..seems to be thick enough to be effective and long enough...easy to install..not sure about durability yet.

Purchased these several months back, and they do take a tad bit of work to attach to your racks. However, they have saved me countless times from burns reaching in or pulling out the racks. Just know that they are NOT for temps 500 or above, and since my oven is also an air fryer it’s not uncommon to use it at 450 degrees, so they’ll wear faster. After about 8 months of use, I noticed that the one on the lowest rack closest to the heat source (gas) had already begun to crumble, so I purchased more to replace that!! Also DO REMOVE THESE if you run your oven’s self-cleaning cycle as that will definitely exceed 500 degrees and destroy them. (It’s just a good idea to pull your racks to hand clean while self-cleaning the oven anyways since the high heat will tarnish the racks and make them look funky) I purchased the 22 inch units since my racks are a tad larger than 24 inches so there’s decent coverage there. My preference was red since that stands out better. I gave it 4 stars due to its lack of longevity, but I will continually purchase them bc I value my hands and arms more!

These turned out to be quite amazing. I got them for my mum who loves baking but frequently would burn herself. Problem solved.
