I bought this for my brother who recently had a stroke. The stroke affected his vision and speech. He cannot "see" the numbers, so the audible time is perfect for him!! He loves this clock! I know it may seem silly to some, but it gives him a little sense of independence - not having to ask about the time (since asking is a challenge) - and it helps him track his day - since that is still a challenge to him as well.
