It's not smooth and will snag when putting it in and taking it out of hair. That's why three stars.As far as "my bad, didn't think this thru" before I made the purchase:Unless you have hair down to your knees that going to curl up into a HUGE massive bun, this is going to be way to long to be functional.The "dangle" is so pretty...….the color is amazing.....but it will get tangled in hair. I bought it because the colors (red and orange) are my fav colors.I didn't return it cuz I ended up using it in a small silk leaf floral decoration on my desk at work.
