This greatly helped my grilling
It has been a long while since I grilled on charcoal and I wanted to make sure whatever I cook will be done and safe to eat (and tasty too). I picked up the ThermoPro TP902 2-probe thermometer to help get me there. It was pretty simple to operate, which I appreciate. After reading the instructions, (yes, there are men like me who actually do that and the world hasn't ended yet) I downloaded the ThermoPro app to my phone and put in the batteries in the sending unit. Once I told the unit to connect and selected the sending unit on my phone, it quickly connected to my phone using bluetooth.I stacked charcoal on one side of my little 14" Weber Smokey Joe, and lit one end of the stack with a Bernzomatic torch, put on the cooking grill, and set the seasoned roast on the grate. Then I used the clip to hold one probe on the grate and inserted the other probe into the thick end of the meat. Then I put on the cover and watched the probe temperatures on the phone app.The app did lose connection with the sending unit at one place in our house. Considering at that location there is plumbing in the walls and a steel file cabinet between the phone and the ThermoPro unit, I can't knock it too much for that failure. The connection was reliable everywhere else in the house and the yard, even upstairs where there is foil faced insulation in the walls. The grill probe showed that the temperature away from the charcoal got up to 250F and stayed there. The meat probe gradually moved up to my selected finish temperature. After a while, the app showed approximately how much time was left for the meat to be cooked. The app beeped loudly when the temperature inside the meat had been reached. I pulled the roast, put it on a plate and let it rest while I cooked sweet corn for the vegetable. The roast exceeded my expectations in both flavor and juicyness. I think next time I will let it cook a little longer, to the next level of doneness. Otherwise, this was a very successful experiment with superior results.I am super pleased with the ThermoPro thermometer. It really came through for me. I am definitely going to do more grilling this summer. I'm already thawing a chicken for the next grilling adventure. Part of the plan is to have good food while keeping the heat out of the house and saving power on the electric bill. With my grill and the ThermoPro thermometer, I know this plan is going to work out just fine.

Works great for long cooking times.
I used this temperature probe when slow cooking brisket or pork butt. Just set the target meat temp and oven ambient temp and go about your business. If the oven temp wanders too far out of your preset range, you get a warning on your Bluetooth connected phone. Same when the meat reaches the final done temperature - even if that's six hours later. The system also tries to estimate remaining cook time with varying degrees of success, but generally pretty accurately.Just be sure you understand the probe to phone connection is limited to Bluetooth range.

Highly accurate and sensitive, perfect for the home cook!
I use this for smoking meats, roasting, and calibrating analog thermometers. It is highly sensitive and updates every second and records on a graph so you can see how stable the temperature is performing. It has a very straightforward design, easy to read screen, and responsive controls. The divice communicates with the app seemlessly with zero lag as well. It is a great value for any home cook or weekend griller! The only con, and this is really, and I mean really nit picking here; I just wish it had a magnet built into the stand so it can be mounted to a smoker. If it had that, then this would be a perfect wired probe product!

Functions well for the price point
I've only used this thermometer once, but I'm pleased with the performance (especially for the price point). The thermometer synced quickly with the app and was easy to set up. There are two probes, which is pretty straight forward. I tested it on my Big Green Egg, while cooking two spatchcock chickens. The analog thermometer on my BGE, at first, read about 20 degrees different than the probe I hooked to the grating, but after a bit, the temps slowly synced within a couple of degrees of each other. I set alarms for various temps, all of which worked perfectly. The unit alarmed at set temps and my phone alarmed, as well, via the app. My only complaint is that the probe inside of my chicken alarmed when it hit 165 degrees. I popped open my Egg and probed the chicken with my instant reader and it read about 175. The ten degree difference was concerning, but I can certainly work within this constraint. Overall, I am pleased and rate this four stars.

Worked great
Wanted to try the Christmas roast over coals. This gave me a good grill and internal temp. The high and low alarms are handy, but loud. So far satisfied with it.
