The measuring tape works perfect for what I needed

I attached this to an aluminum miter saw fence that I constructed. It was very easy to apply; the adhesive seems to hold powerfully; and it serves a very useful purpose. Now I no longer have to break out the tape measure to make short cuts (my fence is only 36 inches long). I thought that it was a bit pricey, but after having used it multiple times to produce accurate cuts without measuring, it was worth every penny. I highly recommend this little item.

This is a really nice tape, good adhesive, seems durable and very nicely marked. However, when installing you need to keep it back off the very edge of your bench. This thing is RAZOR sharp. The way I had it installed if you run your hand down the front edge of the bench or make hard contact with it in the course of working you will inflict some damage. After slicing myself on it twice, I removed it and trashed it. I will probably buy another and install it 1/8” back from the edge of my bench.Update: I did by another and installed it as stated above. Same good quality as the first one. Makes a convenient way to measure quickly at the bench. Happy with the purchase.

God tape, good price, accurate measurements, good value.

Even better than I expected. I used the tape on my table saw fence and couldn't be happier. Cuts with side cutters and a hearty squeeze. The adhesive is 3M brand and adheres very well even to slick painted surfaces. Since it's made of (spring?) steel, it installs STRAIGHT and flat with only minimal effort. The first foot is graduated in 1/32nds, remaining tape is graduated in 1/16ths. This has proven to be very handy - the small graduations are great for short cross cuts and rips, while the wider marks are (almost) always sufficient for cuts between 12 and 50 inches. I haven't used the metric side, but I guess it's nice knowing it's there - and I never really understood the logic behind putting the same scale on the a tape twice. For the first time, I'm finding myself using the fence scale to set cut width rather than a tape measure. I haven't found any appreciable inaccuracies anywhere across the entire 50"+ length I'm using. Starrett has a great reputation in every industry I've worked in - it's nice to see that the quality is carried over into more consumer oriented product at a very reasonable price.
