**Q: Do you weight it before or after it bloom when a recipe calls for 5g of gelatin ?**
A: Every recipe I have ever made with gelatin will have instructions something like this: "Dissolve 1 envelope (.25 oz) gelatin in....", leading me to assume that gelatin is weighed before hydration.  Doing it the other way, the variation in hydration would cause wild swings in weight, in my opinion.  If you are trying to convert packets of gelatin to sheets, just consult Modernist Pantry's website.  They have a conversion chart.

**Q: This is not vegetarian is it - what exactly is it made from?**
A: On line it states the gelatin is from pork and beef animal products. That’s as far as the website goes to answer.

**Q: Is this product kosher?**
A: Sorry no idea.. but perfectly work .. great product

**Q: Hello...Does this gold sheet gelatin add a gold and/or metallic color to your food? Thank you in advance!**
A: No.  It dissolves clear.  However, be mindful of the size of the sheets your recipe calls for.  You may need to cut the sheets.

I love it when you can see the quality before you even open the package! I purchased for baking special desserts. Simply put, the sheet color and packaging tell me this gelatin will be perfect for my banana cream pie and I’m sure the taste will follow. I will update my review after using.

These gelatin sheets are very useful for savory sauces as well as other foods. I soak about 4 in cold water, wring them out and then add them to braising liquids or tomato sauces for a very velvety result.  Very happy with them.

Easy to cut what you need.  It dissolves pretty good in water. I used this product to make pies.  I thought it would have helped thicken my product a little more once it had a chance to set. I'm not sure why...
