Great thermostat
Easy to set up, works with nearly all brands of AC equipment and humidifiers/dehumidifiers, Bosch warranty. The new Bosch EasyAir App is cleaner than the old one, but both are functional. No hardware or software/algorithm issues like the Nest or Ecobee, other than not currently having a remote room sensor, this is my go-to thermostat for our properties. No rebate for Texas currently but many other areas have a local or federal rebate, the BCC110 (this new one) is Energy Star rated and works with Alexa, where the old one BCC100 was not, but functionally still a great thermostat.

If your reading this your like me
IF your reading this review your like me and wondering why did my thermostat suddenly stop working. Well thats because bosch likes to update the firrmware randomly and that will make your thermostat air handler stop working. Save yourself the frustration and just switch to a honeywell or another brand bc this thing is junk

Bosch Thermostat
Seamlessly integrated with my Bosch HVAC system. I had a Nest 3rd Gen thermostat and it caused chaos with the Bosch HVAC system.

Too dumb for 2025
I was disappointed in this thermostat as I had high hopes that it would function better with my 5 ton 20 seer Bosch outdoor heat pump. The thermostat is beautiful, but it's just not as smart as it should be. Alabama power didn't include it in their list of smart thermostat available for the $200 rebate either so I returned it. I replaced it with the ecobee premium, and I have not regretted it since.

Nice thermostat
Very easy to wire and attach to the wall. Great instructions as well.

Horrible online stability
Online access to Bosch thermostats have been down for 3 days and counting now. This is my third Bosch thermostat after a BCC50 was no longer compatible with their new app, and a BCC100 that fried itself. Save yourself the hassle and pick another brand. The Bosch heat pump I have is great, the thermostat is not.

Unhappy customer
Could not get the thermostat to work properly. It would not work with my smart phone. I called customer service and it still didn’t work properly.

Basic functionality. Screen is black all the time unless you touch it.
This is the only digital thermostat that I have ever seen that does not display the current temperature on the screen at all times. 1-3 minutes after you touch the screen it goes black. So it looks like you have some sort of non-working device attached to your wall. Even the obsolete BCC50 knew to keep the temperature up on the screen at all times. So while most modern thermostats appear pretty high tech when you look at the wall, this is pretty unappealing. The functionality is basic. Just setting schedules to turn the heat up or down is all you get. I found the accuracy to be quite close though you can go into the advanced settings and calibrate it up or down as I did using a precision thermometer. It's relatively easy to install but the instructions are confusing. After you connect it to your wires you have to go through the first few steps of setup **on the device itself**, including typing in your WiFi password. **Only then** do you add the device on the app. Wiring is typical, needs a C wire. The app itself is functional. Setting schedules is somewhat cumbersome but it works. I have a heating system only (no A/C) and it would have been nice for the cooling parts of the app to be grayed out but that's not critical. I have multiple zones - no way to handle them as a group. I had to add the first thermostat three times before it stuck around, not sure what was happening there. I replaced my Bosch BCC50s with this unit as both the old thermostat and the old app were discontinued and could no longer be used. To Bosch's credit, they replaced the old thermostats with this one when I called them, without charging me. Maybe under the 5 year warranty, I didn't ask. Unlike the BCC50, it is possible to use this without the app, though I haven't tried setting schedules that way. In summary, it's a basic thermostat with a somewhat premium price and (to my eyes) a really serious aesthetic shortcoming.
