Get a bottle of Monin Hibiscus syrup, and a shot of that transforms this mixer.
I did a taste test of various gins with this, also soft drink syrups, to make it more palatable. This means you don’t have to, and really this should be the most helpful mixer review on Amazon, because this way you are Prepared And Informed. Because I love the raspberry and rose lemonades by Fentimans, I went straight up and ordered the 12 bottles tray. My willing assistant suggested that we drink some as is, and we realised the mistake I had made, as it did not suit my tastebuds at all. The fizziness is a bit limp, the blood orange overpowers the cherry, and I would not choose to drink another unadulterated bottle of this stuff again Something would have to be done. It was obvious that that something was going to be pouring into a splash of gins and reviewing them to each other: Pineapple. Do not make this mistake. We made this mistake for you. Be thankful. Unsalvageable. Finished by: Sink for both. Peach. Almost as bad as the pineapple, benefitting from the comparison, but still nasty Mango: pretty dreadful. We had started formulating a theory, and tested the following. Sicilian Lemon and orange. Not a gin I bought for myself put it like that. The taste wasn’t worse than the pineapple, but mixed with the Fentimans both approached the scent of B&M loo cleaner. Finished by: Sink. I imagine the pipes appreciated it Our theory therefore was that yellow fruit gins are the gateway to depression, so avoid at all costs. Rhubarb and Ginger. Yes. Not much to say; it wasn’t as offensive as the previous quartet. It was at this point we thought of the Monin fruit syrups, and tried one half bottle of lemonade with gin with a little raspberry, and the other with Hibiscus. Both agreed that the hibiscus absolutely made this cocktail work, as well as a glass of the unadulterated lemonade. Finished by: me learned friend. Hortus Raspberry gin. I staked an entire bottle of the Fentimsn’s on the outcome of this plus a half-shot of hibiscus. I may never drink anything else again, as it was fabulous. Japanese Cherry blossom Gin-Lidl. Everyone should have at least one bottle of this tucked away. It’s passed so well with full fat Coke that I did not think that it could be bettered, however, this was the one that me learned friend staked his full bottle on, believing that it was amplify the cherry taste of the drink which in its uncontaminated state is not totally pleasant, being a bit drowned out by the blood orange. The result was not bad, but if you could have it with Coke, you would have it with Coke. You wouldn’t look around for another mixer. My learned friend was let down in his optimism. And the last gin liqueur we tried was a home-made winter gin made with a mash of red fruits about 18 months ago and topped up frequently with Bombay Sapphire. The red fruit was taken out and fabulous on ice cream. Then five Juniper berries, three cloves and a stick of cinnamon went in each 500 mL bottles. Again this oddly goes well with full fat Coke but is not horrible with one of Fentimans pink lemonades. Mixed with this, though, it was reminiscent of children’s cough syrup. It was finished off by me learned friend, because they’re a young adult and therefore will drink anything now that they’re legal. As for me I brought myself another raspberry gin, hibiscus syrup and blood orange and cherry lemonade and had a pleasant afternoon once of course the memory of the pineapple mixture had finally faded away.. Oh, and with plain Bombay Sapphire? Just boring. Stick with the raspberry gin Liqueur. It’s Lidl’s, it’s delicious and works with most mixes and if you’re going to drink this uncontaminated with any alcohol for God sake don’t forget the hibiscus syrup.

Not for me but you might love it
Hmmmm, unsure, I don’t love it but I don’t dislike it either Pros: very light on the stomach to drink, I don’t feel like I’ve just chugged a soda with my dinner, very easy to drink Cons: it’s not fizzy like I enjoy, there is a very light sparkle from the fermented ginger Neither pro nor con: it has a VERY strong blood orange taste that far overpowers the cherry (which is a shame because I bought it for the cherry tbh) Overall, I’ll drink the rest of the 12 pack (11 left) but I wouldn’t buy it again, I wish I had a soda stream so I could properly carbonate it 3/5 stars, not for me but for others it might be amazing

Disappointed to find it a little fizzy and strange
Nice flavour but not quite strong enough for me. Has a strange taste and is not at all the add makes it out to be :-/
