Something new for my child. She is 5 yo and we have never done anything like that. This lacing toy set is great. Quality is nice, good templates, pictures are cute. It is quite easy to use for children. The holes are pretty large and my girl really enjoys to make it. On my opinion this is excellent educational toy. Price is ok. Recommend it.

It's nice to see some wooden toys around. this Montessori Wooden Dinosaur Lacing toy is really cute. Definitely educational and fun for the kids to use. There are four designs. I just think this is a really cute gift that can be passed down to siblings. We used to have versions of this "in the olden days", but they were made of cardboard. Because this is 4 wooden bases with the holes pre cut it will last a very long time.I would recommend this as a gift for xmas or birthday or just to build on your education Torys for your children. I think it is a good price for the work that has gone into the design and build. The Age range on the description says Baby / Toddlers. I think you could let a 3 year old and upwards use it with supervision. There are not any sharp parts but there is the plastic needle, which you would want to keep and eye on.

Loved the fact that these are made of wood and are more durable than some lacing toys. You get 4 designs and 1 plastic needle and some threads. My daughter did find it fun and also aided her hand eye coordination. I do feel that the age of 2 years plus could be a tad difficult for some children, but with some adult supervison a supposed it could be done. The price of £14.99 with 50% voucher (at the time of review) is an excellent price for this lacing toy.

This dinosaur threading set is lots of fun.You get four wooden frames with different dinosaurs on, a set of 10 colourful various coloured yarns and four plastic threading needles.The needles have a ball on the end so they are not sharp. They could however still provided a choking hazard. Despite the listing this is not suitable for a child under 3 years old (as stated on the box) and would require supervision for young children to use. Also some 3 year olds could struggle with the dexterity required.A great fun way to practice hand eye coordination and fine motor skills.

This is a review of “JAiiMen Montessori Wooden Lacing Dinosaur Toys for 1 2 3 4 Year Olds Toddlers, Sewing Kit, Early Education Sensory Toy for Ages 2-4 5-8 Girls Boys Kids, Fine Motor Skill Preschool Toy, Birthday Gift”, currently priced £14.99.This set comprises four thin plywood boards each with a different type of dinosaur drawn on each and multiple holes, four plastic safety “needles” and 10 lengths of embroidery thread. There is no tool to help with threading which makes using embroidery thread very difficult as it frays easily. Some sort of yarn would have been better for this as it would be far too difficult for a child of three to manage this on their own. Once threaded the needles are a good size to pass easily through the holes but having some sort of printed guide to show how to form the stitches would have helped, as most children would naturally use a running stitch but actually it is a back stitch which is needed to make an unbroken line.There is some ambiguity about what age this toy is suitable for. The listing states it is suitable for 1 and 2 year olds, in one place on the front of the box it says “not for children under 2 years” but in three other places it says 3 and over. In terms of the safety of the parts, 3 years is definitely as low as I would happily go, but in terms of actually being able to perform the task I would say a child would need to be at least 5 unless given substantial help from an adult.

Our older kids like to make bracelets, but they are too dangerous with small parts, so this was a perfect alternative to keep the younger ones occupied. There are enough designs to keep them interested and give us a little "quiet time". Easy to use with a little guidance on the first go.

This is a durable nifty embroidery kit for youngsters. The needles have a very dull blunt end, so children will not prick their fingers with it. Kids can develop their fine motor skills using the blunt tipped needles and colourful embroidery threads. I really like the wood boards as they are durable and will not bend. The boards are small enough for young hands to hold the boards. The kit does require adult assistance. Good product. At the time of this review the price was $25.98 which is reasonable.

I ordered this for my 4 year old daughter who is interested in learning sewing. She enjoyed using it.I liked that the kit had a few different theme options, and lucky for us there was a dinosaur theme because my daughter loves dinosaurs.Overall, I liked that it worked on her hand eye coordination and also attention span - even though I helped guide her for most of it because it was a bit advanced, it was able to keep her attention for a good stretch of time. I also liked that this was a bit more challenging because most kits I see are too easy and wouldn't take much time for an older toddler to complete.The kit seemed a little advanced for a (young) 4 year old to do independently because the holes were spaced close together. My daughter had a hard time picking the correct hole to use next, so I sat there and helped her figure out the correct hole. When left to her own devices, she was stitching all over the place instead of around the edge of the picture. The completed picture turned into a special gift for her grandparent.

I got this for my 2 year old. She is not able to use the thread yet, but we have been practicing weaving with the needles. This comes with plastic "needles" that cannot hurt you, wooden boards, and thread. The thread is kinda easily tangled and the wooden boards are pretty thin but it is cute, useful, and priced fairly.

Per photo #1, the string is quite thin. In the item description, it shows the string being looped 4-6 times over each hole which feels quite tedious and boring. Our toddler at 16 months is a bit too young to really appreciate it, however she can do it with guidance. Each of the wood pieces is well-sanded and no rough edges which is nice.I think if the string were slightly thicker, even so that 2-3 times would be sufficient to fill it with good visibility, it would become a 5-star product. However, it is still fun enough and good hand-eye coordination skills for a young one. I can give a soft recommendation for this.

The little vehicles are bright and fun, and the lacing activity is excellent for fine-motor development. My kid has a blast threading the laces through each vehicle. Recommend it for any parent looking for a creative and hands-on activity for their child.
