We needed to get this quickly because a plumber was already scheduled. Although it is a pretty standard part, the local plumbing store didn't have one in stock. It arrived ahead of the promised date, was well packaged, and installed with no problem.

Good quality at slightly more than 45 angle
Quality product with angle that is slightly more 45 degrees. Wanted a bit more angle to allow shower stream to be more vertical. Have a heavy Speakman shower head so pivoting joint cannot hold it. This item works perfectly. Metal is sufficiently thick enough. Not sure how the exterior appearance will hold up over time—but no issue yet after several months.

Replacing an old shower head with new shower head and this arm. The arm screwed right on - came with teflon tape, which was handy. No problems with leaks, but yes - you will need some putty or silicone to keep the collar flush against the wall/tile.
