Vanicream Aluminum-Free Gel Deodorant - 2 oz - Unscented Formula for Sensitive Skin

I have sensitive pits. They sting and burn after using the same deodorant or antiperspirant for more than a day or two, making wearing regular deodorant painful and impossible. Assuming it was the aluminum, I have tried every men's "sensitive" deodorant under the sun. Dove Aluminum-free, Dr. Squatch, Native, Tom's, Method, Arm & Hammer Essentials Charcoal, Every Man Jack, etc. Everything eventually made my armpits raw and painful after a few days.I did some research and finally found Vanicream and gave it a try, expecting the same results. Much to my surprise, it has been a month, and I have no pain after daily use. This has no aluminum, no baking soda, no nothin'. Vanicream isn't a cream at all, but rather a clear gel liquid that goes on smooth and dries before you put your shirt on, and leaves no residue or stains. It isn't sticky or flaky, or anything you hate about other deodorants. In fact, it isn't much of anything at all, with an ingredients list of only a few components. It doesn't even smell like anything, which could delight you or seem entirely pointless to you, depending on what you want out of your deodorant. If you have a strong and stinky natural body odor, this deodorant may not be for you. If you work long days and expect to smell as fresh as a daisy at the end of the day, this deodorant may not be for you.If you like your natural scent (and want to attract others with your natural scent instead of covering it up with a chemical body spray) and you have sensitive pits and just want a very basic deo to help stave off the stench for about 8-10 hours, this deodorant is for you. I believe the reason this works so well for folks with sensitive pits is because of the sodium hydroxide ingredient, which does a better job of alkalizing than sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) which is normally used in natural deodorants.

This deodorant was out of stock for a while due to an ingredient supplier issue and some reviews say that after it came back in stock the formula changed for the worse. I have extremely sensitive skin so I was hesitant to repurchase but I'm glad I did because it seems the same to me.I have tried many unscented deodorants and this one is my favorite. It is the most effective at long lasting odor protection, it keeps me dry and gives me zero skin reactions. I never have to worry that my deodorant won't last and that is a huge weight off of my mind. .

I tried the Vanicream Anti-Perspirant Deodorant for Sensitive Skin, and overall, it worked okay. I really appreciate that it's unscented and designed for sensitive skin, as many deodorants can irritate my skin, but this one didn't cause any discomfort or breakouts. It's also great for people with fragrance sensitivities.The clinical-strength formula offers 24-hour protection, and while it does keep me dry for a decent amount of time, I didn’t feel like it was as strong as some other brands I've tried. It works, but I did find myself needing to reapply after a long, active day, especially in hotter weather.If you have sensitive skin and need a gentle, effective anti-perspirant, it’s worth trying. But for someone like me who needs a bit more sweat control or long-lasting protection, it may not be quite as effective as some others.

Hands down. The best deodorant.I have had issues with deodorant after using 1 brand for so many years. My body changed and started to have rashes with everything I used.I even tried making my own, and it worked for a week and then the itchiness came back.This was recommended by my dermatologist and I AM SO HAPPY SHE DID!Rashes are gone, and it works great to block odor.New and long-lasting customer here.

I’ve tried almost every “cleaner/healthier” deodorant and this one works magic. I try to stay away from products with aluminum but every deodorant that I’ve tried without aluminum has a reaction with my skin. This deodorant has been working so great. I love that it is clear. It leaves no stains or scents and lasts allllll day with just a little bit of product. Easy to apply, and light gel texture perfect for getting an easy application. Best deodorant I’ve used.

This is for the gel, WHITE CAP deodorant only. I can’t review the BLUE CAP antiperspirant separately but I do not recommend! It leaves so much residue.I have sensitive armpits ever since my chemical burn from using baking soda (I tried lighting my armpits but it backfired), so most deodorants irritate me. This has been gentle but effective! There is little to no odor after using this. However, I don’t typically have strong BO and don’t sweat much, so I’m not sure how effective this would be on sweatier, smellier armpits.
