Pay the extra $10 and buy the SmartGames version
If this was the only version of the game on the market, it wouldn't be half bad. The concept is cute - you have outfit pictures with clear windows for clothing. Then by stacking, rotating, etc. the pattern cards you color in the outfit to match the picture. I've never experienced the SmartGames version in person, but comparing to the pictures this version suffers several drawbacks:- [MAJOR] Unlike most games that have cards or something to prompt the challenges, this one prints everything in a book side by side. Odds are the age group of kids this targets will definitely need parents to cut out into cards or otherwise revise the challenge system.- The cards themselves are a relatively thin plastic. Not only is durability something of a question, but the patterns show through the whole card. Distracting at a minimum but may make the game unplayable for littles who are already struggling with visual discrimination.

Cute game
I have played the name brand version of this game, and I think this one is very comparable. The biggest downside is how small the challenge pictures are in the booklet it comes with, but this didn't seem to bother my 4 yr old at all. Each of the cards are well made and fit into the base well. You have to use a combination of color cards and a kid card to complete each challenge. My kid is able to do most of them with an adult prompting what's missing from each attempt compared to the photo, but he gets bored after completing a few. I wish the base was a case that held everything within it, since you do have to hold onto the box for storage and it doesn't seem like it will last very long.
