Flushing is normal.
My GP wanted to put me on statins as my Cholesterol Reading was high.I refused as statins cause harm and give diabolical side effects.Within weeks of using the Niacin with Flushing my cholesterol has been normal since 2014.It’s true that some people don’t read the label that states ... may/will cause flushing. However, non flushing niacin is only semi effective.Flushing tends to start at the forehead and reaches the lower limbs. It’s totally normal and 100% safe, however, the body soon adapts. There is no chance of overdose ... any niacin not required is flushed down the lavatory.I enjoyed the warmth from the flush and still do on the rare occasion that it still occurs. However, taken with Vit C my energy levels rocketed and, as said, to my GPs surprise, the free radicals vanished and my HDL and LDL levels returned to normal.Do take them after a meal or at bedtime. They’re not habit forming and yet they do assist with sleeping.I suggest reading - Niacin, The Real Story. Abram Hoffer.

Perfect, works exactly as it should!
Perfect, works exactly as it should! Definitely not dangerous! Taking after eating lessens the flush, as does taking it at regular intervals. It’s best to work up to 500mg. If you have a break from it, work up to this amount again. The flush is perfectly normal, definitely not an allergic reaction, shows the Niacin is doing its job. As you get used to it, the flush lessons or doesn’t happen.Niacin is great for cognitive ability, especially memory. Do your research guys (see Niacin B3 facebook group). So many health benefits – helps depression, improves cholesterol levels, supports brain function, good for arthritis and much more. Even better when taken with Vit C.As per Andy T’s review, I suggest reading – ‘Niacin, The Real Story’ by Abram Hoffer.

No problems so far.
Can't fault the product as I have only taken one pill so far and didn't feel any negative effects, didn't feel anything at all actually. Don't know why people are complaining. If anything changes I will update the review.Edit; Have now experienced a flush twice, the first flush just affected my forehead but the second affected around 60% of my body. The flush feels similar to sunburn and is very uncomfortable, but this is a desired effect for me as I am experimenting with lions mane and niacin flush (maybe a little psilocybin too).

BE AWARE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS!
This item arrived from America in exactly 2 weeks. I take quite a few supplements, including Cod Liver Oil and Glucosamine with Chodroitin. I took 1 Niacin tablet with the others in the morning just before breakfast, washed down with Grapefruit juice. About 15 minutes later I thought that I was taking some form of stoke, as starting at my head, I was hit with a prickly heat type hot flush. This traveled down my body and lasted about an hour and a half. It also turned my skin a tanned red colour, as if I had lain out in the sun for a couple of hours. This was only temporary. If I had taken the time to read the instructions, it did say that it may cause hot flushes. My experience, as I was to learn later, was exacerbated by the Grapefruit juice, which had a reaction with the capsule.I have taken 2 more on seperate occasions and while the hot flush and temporary tan is still prevalent, it was greatly reduced.500mg is the maximum daily intake, which is what the capsule contains.I purchased these because I have a plaque build-up in my arteries and I had heard Niacin was shown to reduce this. I hope that by taking it, it is helping but obviously cannot be 100% sure.

The real deal
This is the good Niacin - gives you a big flush which feels great to me, first time might be a bit scary but it is harmless - your skin will redden and you will feel hot but this is part of the process of taking high dose niacin.Took AGES for my first delivery to arrive but the second one came around quickly. If you're concerned about the dangers of slow-release niacin that can impact the liver, get this instead - this is full strength, quick release niacin - very good for you.

They Work!
Back in May, my triglycerides were measured at 2.4mmol/L, which was a bit of a problem since the accepted upper range is 1.8. It wasn't exactly a surprise, though, as my triglycerides have been high for at least a couple of years. I decided in the light of the latest result to try to do something about it and therefore bought these 500mg tablets. The flush is intense and can be troubling at times, though I find the strength of it varies for no apparent reason. Quite commonly I get up at 4AM to feed the cat, pop one of these then, and go back to bed where the flush mostly happens whilst I'm asleep. My most recent blood tests are just back. Triglycerides level now, November 2019: 0.7mmol/L, which is well within accepted bounds. I've not exactly altered anything else about my diet or life style, so the major reduction in triglycerides are, I think, entirely attributable to this product. Accordingly, am about to buy again!

Careful! Very strong and pretty severe side affects.
Very careful with this stuff, it’s pretty potent. Had to call an ambulance because my blood pressure completed dropped, heart was racing and body felt like I was about to have a stroke.

Excellent
Cracking product. Caps on the big side, not a problem for me but obviously if it is for you then bite them in half or empty cap into a glass of water then drink. They do have a big slug of Naicin in which first few times you take them may give you the ‘glow’ so probably best to start with just half a cap anyway. Great service, great product.
