I installed these in my mother's house. It means that there is always some light so she is not likely to fall over looking for light switches.

Didn’t realuse backlight stays on - too bright for husband to sleep!

Personally I find this too bright and also it omits white light not warm light. It’s not dimmable and I haven’t been able to get the motion detection to work. If those things do not bother you then it’s a good alternative to a lamp.

I have two already and have had them for nearly three years and I wanted them for upstairs so I got these ones. They are so good touch wood they are still going strong. If you want them brighter you can it has a button that does so.

Good well made and a great addition to use to light up anywhere without using the main lights.

Easy to use, simply plug in and switch on. It has background light is soft and on continuously. The motion detector is excellent, once activated turns on the brighter light for a few minutes, This is our second one, highly recommend this.
