Lost my original charger but this one is a good replacement at a good price

I’m always grateful for a chance to review a chromebook charger because, although these unbranded leads are considerably cheaper than the official ones, I do find that the plugs eventually give out. This one costs £12.99 at time of review which is at the lower end of what I have come to expect and it works very well out of the box. It’s a standard USB-C type plug with 45W power which is also, usefully, compatible with my phone. I don’t expect it to last for years as I’ve not yet come across a charger that does, but for the price, this does exactly what I’d expect and that is perfectly adequate.

Being a family of 6 with 3 of them being teenagers we are always in need of chargers.This is perfect, works well, fast charge and the fact it has a long lead is a huge bonus and makes using it very comfortable.Great value for money, well made and hopefully will last a while

Not all chargers are equal. this is to replace another charger that stopped charging my Chromebook after a few minutes, presumably due to a fault in the electronics. Fortunately these faults are rare.This one appears to be well made with decent lengths of cables, the mains cable is approximately 140cm long and the USB cable is approximately 170cm long. There is a small hook and eye loop on the USB cable to keep it neat if not using its full length. It is compatible with my Acer Chromebook and has a UK 3-pin plug on the detachable mains cable and a USB 'C' connector on the hardwired USB cable. The ratings printed on the adapter are the same as my previous adapter except that the current output at 18 volts is 2.5 amps instead of 3 amps but it charges my laptop up fine. I don't know how it compares with the length of time to fully charge my Chromebook but that's not an issue for me. I usually put my Chromebook on charge at night and it's charged up by the following morning. If I need to use my Chromebook when the charge is low then I use it whilst it is charging.If for some reason it ceases to work then I'll update this review but so far it charges fine.

works great this is now my spare for traveling's i can charge my phone so save one extra plug

There are some chargers out there that are the form-factor of USB-C, but not the protocol.This fast-charges all my USB-C devices.Update after only 2 months of use: It now does the old USB thing of only connecting when the cable is held at a certain angle in the port. It does it for all my usb-c devices, so it's the cable's male USB-C, not the ports.It wore out quickly. Disappointed.

I use this for my phone and laptop and fast charges both. Actually "super charges" my phone which is new to me. Feels good quality and the cable is a good length.Would recommend.

I wasn't expecting any surprises when I received this and didn't get any. No issues at all using this to charge a chromebook / other type C device. What I wasn't expecting was the small and handy size of this charger, some power bricks and be heavy and awkward to place but this one was quite lightweight and easy to use. Seems to stay cool enough and does what it suggest and does it at 45w too which is a bonus, fast charging and very handy as a replacement or simply as a spare if you are a heavy / traveling chromebook / laptop user.
