It's too early for me to notice any benefits, but the powder is inherently very bitter and if you like bitter coffee then you won't notice a difference. However, I found it hard to drink after I mix with my coffee.

The mushroom extracts from this company are what I judge all other extracts by. You can tell by the taste that these extracts contain a high level of medicinal compounds. I just wish they would sell these powders in higher quantities at a reduced bulk price. They are very expensive and bulk pricing can benefit both the producer and consumer. I encapsulated this powder into size 00 capsules. I was able to get just under 500mg into each capsule. I could take just one a day or take two a day which would be the recommended dosage on the packet. If it was for just general health maintanence I would go with 500mg or one a day. If you were taking it in order to fight a disease I would go for the 1000 mg dose or even 2000mg dose and maybe even take that two or three times a day. Reishi is very bitter and I feel that this is a good way to take it. The capsules will also help to preserve the powders freshness. I use “the capsule machine” to encapsulate powders. It is a US product. It only does 25 capsules at a time but unlike the Chinese made capsule machines that do 100 or more capsules the caps consistently go on with this machine. The Chinese machines break them and you end up having to put them all on by hand anyway so they don’t actually save you very much time. It is also much smaller and therefore easier for storage.

It is grown on logs, is reddish in color and has a mild bitter taste, which is what you look for in a superior reishi powder. You only need to use a small amount each time, so it lasts, and the price is well worth it. Not only will you get a superior product, but the health benefits are numerous. Research it for yourself! I add the reishi powder to my daily smoothies and it blends in without leaving lumps and does not overpower the taste of the other ingredients. In fact, you won't even know it's there. In addition, it is non-GMO, Organic, Vegan and Kosher and gluten-free. This is my second purchase and I will continue to buy this product.

The taste is quite bitter, but that’s the case with high quality reishi. The bag can be messy, and sometimes the ziplock inner seal of the double-sealed envelope hasn’t remained sealed in shipping. I have learned to open the package carefully and transfer it to a small jar using a funnel. After that, it’s easy to scoop out 1/2 teaspoon to mix with something (yogurt and banana or honey) to minimize the bitterness. Eating it along with a salty food (nuts) also makes it more palatable. The Amazon photos need to include a photo of the back of the package.

I had gotten this and two other types from the company and as I was due to go in to my dr waited to use them and brought the packages in. My Rheumatologist then told me these were not something I can take as I am on a biologic to suppress my immune disease and these would counter it. Unfortunately, they are not returnable despite being unopened so I’m not sure what to do with them except point out to anyone else like me what my dr shared.

I have used other products from Real Mushrooms and have been satisfied with each one. I bought the powder that I mix into my greens drink each day. It mixes well and adds no flavor. I take this to support my immune system. I have been exposed to germs and have continued to stay healthy. It has helped me with energy and staying healthy.

This stuff is incredibly bitter. I'm going to keep trying to find stuff to put it in to try and cover it up. Probably coffee. It makes it a little hard to take, and I find myself chugging it to get it over with. All that being said, it's bitterness is a sign of quality, and if your reishi isn't bitter... It isn't doing anything for you. Yes, the bag is small. But an adult only needs 1/2 tsp a day, so considering the amount of work it takes to grow these, I'm not mad, and you shouldn't be, either. When it comes to supplements and vitamins, quality over quantity. After one serving, which I took in the evening, I felt much more relaxed, and sleep came easily. I absolutely recommend.

Taste's vile on it's own. BUT I consider it as taking my medicine and am very happy with this product and will continue to use. I mix the recommended amount in a small amount, 1oz of boiling water, let it cool and then quickly shoot it back. I tried mixing it in with stuff, to mask the taste, but it didn't work that well and just overwhelmed, and ruined whatever I mixed it with. Totally destroyed the taste of my coffee. Only tried that once, that was enough.

I didn't expect much from this, but I did hear some great things about it, as well as a couple of other mushroom extracts, with Chaga being the other one that I've really liked. I seem to have fewer headaches since I started taking this, and it helps me to calm down and to fall asleep.
