Spending most of my time at the keyboard, it's also very important that my hands stay "clean" so really love the fact that this thing leaves nooo residue at all on the hands! It feels very squishy and "oily" but once you put it back in the container you realize that it was just all in the putty. Get it, it's great. I tried other types of clay and putties, but this one beats them all.As far as firmness...it's not all that firm. I got the purple one and it's pretty tough, but it's maybe as tough as some hand warmed sculpy or modeling clay- it's not thaaat hard. But...I have no clinical issues with my hands/arms, and am in my mid twenties, so...yeah.
