Buy Avont Cat Cone Collar Soft, Adjustable Pet Recovery Collar for Cats Kittens Puppies After Surgery, Elizabethan Neck Cone of Shame Alternative to Stop Licking Biting Protect Wounds -Blue (L) at desertcart UK. Review: Perfect for my kitten - At first I thought it wouldn’t protect my kitten from her spaying wound but surprisingly it has! It’s way more comfortable than a plastic vet cone, she can actually see, navigate, eat, lick herself but it covers the area of her spaying wound and she actually uses it as a pillow. It’s very comfortable and she’s only taken it off 2x in the last two days but that’s when I intentionally had it on loose for her. When I tighten it to her fit it doesn’t come off at all! She looks like a cute little flower! Will 100% purchase again if necessary and the waterproof material makes it easy to wipe clean. Size: Small. For reference this is a 5 month old ragdoll kitten. Very good for wound healing but it depends on the location, her wound is lower left side so any lower and I don’t think it would provide as much protection as it’s just about the perfect size to block her from licking it. Review: Perfect Cone for Poor Ciri - Ciri unfortunately got an itchy spot. She scratched so much it actually bled at the end. So we had to find her a cone of shame. We knew the conventional stiff plastic cones won’t cut it. It is because she is the type of cat that if you put any clothing/accessories on her, she becomes immobilised. We tried out this cone and we absolutely loved it and ended up getting the pink one too! Pros: 1) very easy to clean. Ciri accidentally made the cone dirty after using the litter box one time. With some wet wipes, everything came off right away. It is also very quick to dry after a wash. 2) tolerable for Ciri. It only took her roughly 2 days to fully adjust to the cone but every cat will be different. She can easily hop around with no problems. Initially she had trouble jumping onto higher surfaces but not anymore! 3) it is very soft! We caught Ciri using the cone almost as a pillow a few times. 4) easy to put on. I think it goes without saying that Ciri is not 100% fond of the cone, but even with some resistance, the cone is soft and the circumference is adjustable. So it is easy to don and doff! Cons: 1) the material does show minor pilling after a while (~2 weeks). It is however not very noticeable. We think it is because Ciri grooms the cone instead of herself during this time, and you know how cat’s tongue has little hooks on em! 2) the string that helps adjust the tightness of the cone is slightly too long. We had to tie the ends. Not a big issue tho.

So much better than a buster collar!
Got this for my kitten after her spaying as she hated the plastic cone the vets had sent her home in. The drawstring is fully adjustable for smaller cats, is the perfect size so that she can’t reach the wound and she isn’t awkwardly backing up and bumping into things like she was with the cone on. She can eat, drink and sleep comfortably with this would highly recommend if your cat is constantly getting their cone off!

Cute and comfy, but not fit for purpose
Cute but not fit for purpose unfortunately My cat can still groom and scratch himself. In our case, grooming isn’t an issue on his body, but his face is. The product isn’t as stuffed as much as I thought it would be based on the photos, which is likely to be contributing to his access to his grooming. The quality of the product otherwise is okay. My cat is not bothered by wearing the product, can eat as normal, and doesn’t spill food on his ‘cone’. He is very comfortable, as he now has a head pillow instead of a traditional vet cone at least! My cat is of average size. I hope this helps!

Buy it!
Pictured is my recent adoption of a street stray/cat distribution system, now house pest, Miles. Miles needed a couple of surgical interventions to address his crinkled ear and long overdue neuter. He came from the vet with the traditional buster collar that proved utterly useless and difficult to wear - especially when using the litter tray, which resulted in soiled litter stuck to the outer rim of the collar, and trying to make an escape through the cat flap while high on the residual anaesthetic. Imagine a walking lamp shade trying to launch itself through the cat flap door. It was not pretty. Straight to Amazon to purchase a soft collar that can be worn without issue, and save my sanity. The collar is easily adjustable (Miles is a big cat), soft to use and became a portable pillow for a midday nap from being an indoor terror. The shape and size of the collar prevented the cat from repeatedly licking his neuter incision and while giving rise to some self-pity, was tolerated well when worn. He was able to sleep in the collar and it has yet to deflate over time. The collar remains in good order and has been used since when Miles has injured himself outside and continued to lick the healing wound on his chest. The fabric is wipe clean to remove any cat yoghurt utilised in the form of bribery to maintain good human cat relations.

Very comfortable soft collar for beloved cat
This was much more comfortable for my kitten to wear than the hard plastic one provided by vet, which, in my opinion, should be banned for use. The covering shows wear & tear after a couple of weeks but it served its purpose and my cat was comfortable and that was the most important aspect. Highly recommended.

Brilliant soft collar (and looks fun)
We miss our watermelon cat! Cat had a scab on his neck he kept licking off. Put this on and he adjusted to it within a few minutes. This great, soft and comfy collar allowed his skin to fully heal in just a few days. Awesome item!

Ok for stitches or body wound not tail
This is soft and more comfortable than the cone but it’s not wide enough to prevent licking for a tail injury. Cat will still reach the wound even if it’s at the base of the tail, even a determined dog will too.

This is very nice for the cats. Keep in mind they deslike it only slightly less than the cone but it's more confortable for them, and has a string that lets you adjust the fit so it is not easily removed by the fluffy balls. Also keep in mind that - unlike the cone - it's not 100% effective depending on the area your cat can't access but overall it's nice for most issues and fulfills it's purpose with only minor inconvenience for the cat. It's very nice that it's not easily damaged hy their claws, and it's machine washable

These were so much more comfortable and better than cones for the kitties! And they used them to nap on! Also provided endless adorable photo ops!!!

We had to take our cat to the emergency vet over the weekend and poor little guy came home with a plastic cone. What does he do as soon as we set him down? Bumps into something, scares himself, runs.. bumps into something else, etc until the poor guy was in super panic mode. We were able to buy this "cone" for him and oh my gosh, it was like night and day with him and his reactions. Now if he bumped into something, it was not a jolting shock and he did not even really seem to notice. He had to stay with it on for almost 2 weeks and after a day of having this soft cone, he acted like he did not even have one on. We can not say enough about this thing, fantastic purchase
