Original Philly Ribeye Seasoned Beef Sandwich Slices, 4 Ounce -- 40 per case.

I'm not from Philly, I grew up working at a place called the Chilli Station in Cos Cob Ct just East of Greenwich. We made Steak subs all day long. I wondered how close this product would come to the 1/3lb. 1/8" Boars Head Ribeye we used there. Upon opening the box it did kind of resemble Steak Um's in the square cut. My brother and I thought 4oz was small so we tried a double portion, which turned out to be way too much for the *' sub roll so we pulled back to a 6oz portion in the end as we like our sandwiches with some weight 4 oz is plenty for a normal sandwich. The taste was dead on! it was like a trip back in time to 1986. Where I really noticed the difference was when I ordered a cheesesteak in San Diego and saw the same box and asked. He was using the lower-priced version. While I would order his sandwich again as I would be on the road the taste and texture were worlds apart and that 1986 take-me-back taste was not there. If you want the hard sell for your spouse this whole idea came from discovering the Double Meat Cheese Steak at Capriotti's is $24.99 if you bought six of those it would be $150.00 plus tax. Using the double meat formula that's 20 sandwiches at about $7.50 each for the same $150.00. I think the portion on the left side in the first image is a double portion it was on top and I think the guy at the plant must-have run out at the second to last portion and doubled it up compared to the rest.

Being from the Philly area, I grew up on cheese steaks. The only way to get them here in Arkansas is either order them from Campos Deli in Philly, or like I was doing, buying my own rib eye, freezing it then shaving it on my meat slicer. That was expensive and a lot of work. I ordered a box of these, they arrived ahead of schedule, I grilled some onions, placed 1 and a half portions on top and cooked them. Added an Amoroso roll and some good provolone cheese and I was all set.These steaks arrived frozen solid, Packaged perfectly. I will definitely be ordering these again.

The Steak taste great but the 4oz patties are to small.

The prices were okay in the beginning but they jumped up to high over a 6 month span. Price too high now
