Plenty of quality skins and transfer paper for practice
At this point, I'm just dabbling. I am in no way a tattoo artist nor do I have any plans to become one. I initially just got the tattoo gun and ink to play around, but the more I get into it, the more fun it seems. These practice skins and transfer paper are a GREAT way to start the process of learning stencil application, depth, and shading. The skin mat has the give, smoothness, and stretch of real skin, and it's visibly cracked if you get to a point of "overworking" were it real skin. The mat holds ink very well when the appropriate depth and force are applied and doesn't hold hardly anything if your needles are too shallow. It's very good at showing the varying darknesses of ink profusion at different depths/pressure as well, as it is very close to actual skin-tone, unlike the more "yellow" skins you sometimes see.The skin is a wonderful teaching tool to gain the muscle memory necessary to hit that perfect 1.5-2mm depth consistently (Obviously, I'm not there yet) before you move on to 2mm skins for more detailed training on shading. The best part about this pack is that it comes with 5 medium-sized practice skins that are thick enough that both sides can be used. The transfer paper has even carbon layering and is smooth and easy to use. The lines stayed in place long enough to get me going, though I think I don't have the process down completely yet, and since I used it on the practice skin rather than real skin when doing the actual needlework, there may be some differences, but when I did a test transfer onto my arm, the carbon seemed to transfer very well and stayed in place through me going about my daily activities, so it seems to hold up very well.Overall, this is an absolutely perfect kit for someone just getting into the art of inkwork.

Firm but takes ink
These practice skins work well with the stencil, and they take ink well. No strong or unusual chemical smell, color is less yellow than others I've used which I prefer for practice with color. They are quite firm and feel a little like tattooing a pencil eraser but still take the ink well and good for a student to learn line work and refine skills

Trim to fit!
Paper is slightly larger than after size to fit in my machine, but easy to trim to fit. Skin is a great size and thickness for plenty of practice. It took ink well. Overall I was satisfied, for the price this would be great skin for someone to use to practice your line of work.

Decent for Beginners, Room for Improvement
This practice skin is okay for getting started with tattoo techniques, but it's not quite like the real thing. The texture is a bit off compared to actual skin. The transfer paper works well enough, though I had some issues with smudging. For the price, it's decent value if you're just starting out and want to experiment. Just don't expect miracles - you'll still need to practice on fruit or real skin eventually to really hone your skills.

Works well
This is a great set since it comes with so much. I love that it also includes the stencil paper. It's easy to work with and great for practicing. It holds ink well and has a good texture to it. It's a good value for how much you're getting.

Feels like skin
I got this to start practicing and it works really well. I have been trying to teach myself how to do tattoos and this stuff feels like real skin. I haven't had any issues so far in transferring photos or drawing designs to see how they respond. Great for a beginner, I am not a veteran in this field so I can't speak for what they may find is not helpful for them. I have never used this or anything like it before so I am intrigued They seem to do the job with excellence. No separation of the backs or anything like that, the material doesn't wad up or pill. I think they are a great toll for new learners.

Tattoo Practice Skin with Transfer Paper - Jconly 35pcs Fake Tattoo Skin with Transfer Paper
If you are a tattoo newbie and what to get down the basics on how to hold the machine and apply ink, this is a good starting point, it's thick enough that you should be able to use both sides, the thermofax transfer paper will allow you to get some skills at applying the stencil albeit on a flat surface, but it's a start...
