Simple Setup - Reliable
If your car has wired CarPlay, then this gadget converts it to wireless CarPlay, saving you the hassle of plugging your phone into the car every time. It does not add CarPlay to a non-CarPlay vehicle.Setup was simple, I followed the instructions exactly and in a couple of minutes my phone was talking to my car wirelessly. The user interface was the same as when wired, in fact, everything was the same as when wired. This gadget and my phone connect very quickly, so when I get in the car everything is ready to go almost as soon as the engine has started. Overall, this is a handy timesaver that also reduces the wear and tear on your phones USB port.

Convenient and easy to use carplay adapter
The media could not be loaded. This is a convenient two in one car play adapter which allows me to use my phone without the need of any cables. I like the fact that it is compatible with apple and android phones as I'm using it for my personal car and the car that I have for work and it is very convenient. The installation process is literally plug and play and there is no complicated setup involved just requiring plugging the device into the USB port of my car and each time I start the car it connects automatically. I have noticed that the connection is actually stable and there are no drops or lags in the performance of this carplay adapter. This device allows me to access my usual apps such as Maps or music without the need of any cables and it provides a quite good audio quality and it does not interfere with other bluetooth functions in my car.I also like the fact that it is quite small and it does not take a lot of space in the car and it stays out of the way while delivering good results. For me it's important that it allows me to connect my phone and I don't have any cables anymore in the car and it makes my driving way more convenient this is why I do recommend it.

Good connectivity, simple to connect, familiar display.
This clever little adapter takes a wired CarPlay connection and turns it wireless. It doesn’t convert a car without CarPlay into one that now does, but if your car has CarPlay fitted, with the help of this adapter, you can now use it wirelessly. This adapter provides reliable consistent connectivity. It’s very low profile with a small footprint so it can be easily placed somewhere discrete and the design blends in nicely with most car interiors.Setting up this CarPlay adapter is straightforward and from then on it connects to my phone automatically unless my husband has used my car and connected to it, in which case I just reconnect in my Bluetooth settings.I find it’s mostly connected before I even get my seat belt on.I haven't noticed any perceptible lag issues and my music, calls and navigation all seem to work smoothly and seamlessly, and the display now feels more familiar. In my opinion it’s good value, works well with both our phones and does away with cables. It arrives with a clear manual and a gel pad for easy positioning.I hope you find my review helpful.

No more cable!
Setup wasn't terribly hard, although I did have to go through the process twice. The instructions indicated that I would get a certain prompt ("Use Carplay/Android Auto") on my android phone, but that never appeared. Regardless, it set itself up (Magic!). Read the instructions carefully. Apparently, the device connects your phone to the car via Bluetooth, and then the dongle communicates with the phone via wifi (More Magic!). Anyway, it works. The only downside is that I no longer see "Android Auto" on the car entertainment interface screen...it now says "Apple CarPlay", even though I have an android phone. Apparently the dongle is set up to identify as "Apple CarPlay". And, I used to be able to listen to media on the phone by simply unplugging the cable from the phone...now I have to dig into the console to unplug the dongle, because that is where the interface is. Be sure your car is listed in the compatibility list.Update: After using this for awhile in my car, I find that I have to go into my Bluetooth setting each time I start the car to re-establish the link between the car and the dongle. I have not been able to figure out how to automatically establish the link on my Android phone. Annoying!
