Quality AIO from NZXT
Sits on my 9800x3D and keeps low temps under all conditions. Superb quality throughout the build and the NZXT software is easy to use and reliable. Great display screen and quality RGB. A little on the expensive side, but given it's performance, very happy with this choice.

It’s a good cooler, style over substance tho
Very easy to install and I did wonder if there was a benefit from changing the paste on the heatsink but maybe not. Only gripes I have are that the pipes sit directly over the vent on my 5090, I mean I could change the orientation but then it would impede the exhaust fan. Cooling is 4 stars because there’s better but if you’re invested into the nzxt ecosystem then this is what you want. The screen is fun and uploading gifs has been a blast, trying to sync between this and the screen on my Aorus master. Yeah it’s fluff but cool. I’m using this with a 9800x3d and I do the +200 pbo with a -30 curve and it takes it in everything. Temp goes to 87 max.

NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB
Honestly in the past I didn't have a great experience with an AIO as the first one I ever bought was faulty, decided to go with the NZXT brand for its sleek looks and was very interested in the display on the pump and once it had arrived it was perfectly packaged. Once I got to rebuilding my pc overall the instructions looked a little confusing only to realise that it was easier than it looked to install. The overall RGB quality is incredible, it sure keeps the cpu temperature pretty cool. The radiator and fans are pretty big in size which in the right case can make it incredible, overall I've had no performance issues that have come up to which I can say I'm 100% satisfied with.

Beauty and the Beast (important info about backplate/standoffs)
I switched to this one from a tiny Kraken 120 (second photo for comparison of the pump size) and oh boy, does it make a difference... Pros: - under load, the temps of my Ryzen 5900X dropped from around 90 Celsius to around 60. - the fans are practically silent, I really can't tell when they spin up. - The fans in the RGB version come as a daisy-chained panel. No more hassle with multiple wires for POWER/LED. There is only one cable connecting the panel to the breakout cable. - the breakout cable is pretty smart, you can run it from the radiator to the backside of your case to connect everything. No wires from/to the pump. Everything is hidden in the sleeves of the tubing. - the IPS panel is gorgeous and has many customization options. Cons?: - You have to use NZXT CAM bloatware to customize your AIO - You need to have one free USB connector on your MOBO to connect it/make the LCD customizable. Otherwise, the RGB will run on a stock white color. - the tubing is firmly attached on both sides (the pump and the radiator) with no option to rotate it so make sure you have enough space in your case if your GPU is also water-cooled. I had to reposition the radiator of my MSI 4090 Supreme Liquid to make space for the tubing of the Kraken. Still, it all fits in my Corsair 4000D Airflow mid-tower. Lastly, about the MOBO backplate. When you screw in the new standoffs, the backplate will remain loose until you attach and screw in the pump, it will press against the CPU lifting the standoffs and tightening the backplate, so don't worry and proceed with the installation. You don't need any extra washers or anything like that. Honestly? If you want a good-looking, decent AIO for your CPU just get this one. Thanks Matt

Faulty out the box - pump rattle/grind
I previously had an NZXT Z63 280mm AIO that I had for almost 2 years without issue.. this then started making noises and was fluctuating in rpm and temp - I called NZXT who advised this was a fault and they then sent me out a replacement 2023 NZT Kraken Elite.. however, as this used exactly the same pump design as my old unit and as I had since done some more research on it and discovered that these were also failing - I decided to sell this on eBay and instead opted for the 2024 NZXT Kraken Elite 280 RGB - believing the marketing hype and the fact that it was a new inhouse designed turbine pump co-developed by CoolIT. So fast forward to installing it - all went well - easy to install - actually, a lot simpler and straightforward than some other AIO's - partly because the fans are on one frame unit and there is only one breakout cable from the radiator to the back of the case. Once installed and booted up I was very happy with how it looked - a massive improvement over the previous generation.. the halo ring is a really nice touch and adds functionality and the screen is larger brighter and of better quality than the previous units - but unfortunately, that is where the good news ends.. in terms of performance it's on par or within error of margin in terms of cooling - but there seems to be an inherent QC issue with the pump as it makes a horrific grinding/rattling noise as soon as the duty is less than c60% .. you have to constantly run it above this and even then you get the occasional unhealthy sounding noise.. I was one of the first people to receive this and appreciate this was an early production unit - so bought another unit and swapped this over (whilst returning the original for a refund) and low and behold - this one (whilst a little better) exhibits EXACTLY the same issue!!.. I've contacted NZXT support and they have confirmed it's an issue - I've also posted the video on YouTube and Reddit and several other people have confirmed they have exactly the same issue as me. I'm now left a bit stuck as I have no confidence that if I return this one for a refund that the replacement will be any better (given my own experience I know it can actually be worse). I need my PC operational for work and can't afford much downtime - so I'm planning on keeping this 'as-is' just now and in 6 months or so will look to RMA it through NZXT with the hope that any of the design flaws or QC issues have then been ironed out.

Really really good
It’s a super sleek and good looking NZXT AIO, massive upgrade from the previous 360mm AIO’s with the individual fans, I really like the fact that this new version has all 3 fans built into one unit. A little bit expensive but that’s acceptable for keeping my CPU cool.
