This is our second one. Unfortunately, the plastic flap does wear over time with two large, active dogs and getting a replacement part isn't possible. Install takes some time but after it's in, it's solid. Buy new. The second one I bought was used/like new and some parts were misaligned, allowing air to escape through the flap. For anyone comparing dog doors, I highly recommend this one for it's look/function but make sure you can get a replacement flaps later before buying.

I have a Rottweiler so i need a door big enough for her to use without ducking or squeezing in. This is the ONLY one i could find that suited her! This thing works great, it stays closed pretty well, and is larger enough for her to use. Of course the big scardy dog was too afraid to use it for the first day, but my cat showed her how to use it properly haha. I had a friend ask me arent you scared of having a door that big? someone could get in! well it comes with a locking door for the inside but also would you go into a house with a door that big? LOL.

The pet door was easy to install. It is made of high quality materials. The flap is heavy duty and has worked perfectly for a year and a half. We experienced an extremely cold winter this year and our 75 pound dog gave it a real workout during extreme temperatures. When the flap cracked under these extreme conditions, the customer service was awesome, replacing the part under warranty very quickly. We could not be happier with this product. If you need a pet door - this is the one!

So the good. I ordered this dog door and received it the next day, which was unexpected and much appreciated. The door, once installed, looks really nice and appears to be very sturdy so I am please with that. Now the negative. This thing was a bear for my other half to install. I already had an idea of what we were faced with based on other comments I read but usually I read the negative comments and don't pay much mind as normally I am one of the lucky ones to not run into the same issues. Not this time. The inside paper is off in measurements so he did his own measurements, saving him some time. I was thankful to have had advanced notice of that. The screw holes were off so that took a bit of time to get lined up. Again, I was glad to have had advanced notice of that issue. I don't think this project would be best for someone that has never put in dog doors before. This is our third so the other half has experience on what to expect. He said this was the most challenging of the past doors. This was a half day project lol. The plastic flap does bow out but he is taking a heat gun today to see if he can get it warm enough for the magnets to pull it flat. He did have to reposition the flap because it appeared off center and that did help. Anyway, if it wasn't for all the challenges I would have given 5 stars. I really do like the look, very nice, and the dog loves his new door.

This door was a perfect fit to my screen door. The wall was thin but with sealer and the screws provided I have a strong functional doggie dog.

Everytime I need to use the hose for the front yard I have to either unlock the gate or go through the garage. I have the hose in the front but it’s been an absolute pain…UNTIL I discovered this dog door! Turns out they have multiple uses! Just reach my hand through and turn on the water. The reason i bought this one was because it was metal, in hopes it was decent quality! Turns out it is amazing quality. Everything about it is solid. Not to mention the magnetic flap and actuator are super high quality and durable. If I ever actually need a ‘Dog Door’, i will definitely order this again!

This was HARD to install! Our door is a vinyl(?) or maybe a fiberglass storm door, so cutting the opening was not easy, but we got that done. It was hard to cut the divider pieces, scissors are NOT strong enough! We had to use a saw saw and a jigsaw to cut those pieces. The hardest part, and what I gave 3 stars for, was the fact that the screws would not line up and meet to attach the front to the back. It’s very difficult to get those lined up with the panels in the grooves to hold the door in place. make sure you don’t use a drill to enlarge the holes while your frame is in place! We ended up stripping the threads so had to use a different screw and bolt on one of them. This should not take over three hours, but that’s how long it took us.😩 It would be easier to just cut a hole and fasten a flap of some sort on it! I do like the panel that comes with it to close the pets in or out. The pets are hesitant to use it but hopefully they will get more used to it! The cat won’t even try, the flap is heavy. We have a smaller dog (25lbs)and a bigger dog (65lbs) so we had to get a large door. * watch the instructional video- it may help.

This is a very good door for the price. I installed this on my garage metal door for cats. The small size was more than adequate for my cats - even the tall one. Installing this through a metal garage door requires some effort with a jigsaw and drill. I wouldn't say it was an easy process. It took some tweaking to get both sides and insert aligned. Another person would have helped since I was trying to align both sides holding up the doors myself. The bolts are long so they will fit any size width of door up to 2". So... In my case I had to cut off 4 bolts that were sticking out. I had no access to use a hacksaw, so I had to buy an angle grinder to cut them off. As a note - I had to install the door backwards because the metal cross brace on the garage door would not allow the plate that you use to slide in to block the door was in the way. Not a problem, I can slide it in on the outside when I need to seal the door. Just be sure to measure everything twice, especially when cutting down the inserts- there were varying widths on the garage door after I cut out the opening. The inserts go around the inside of the garage door opening and insert into both sides of the frame. All in all- I am extremely happy with the quality.

Didn't have any issues installing the door. You do need a variety of power tools to cut holes in doors. The door does look good. We installed in a metal security screen door and used an angle grinder with a metal cutting blade which worked well. Don't forget to leave the wooden main door open behind the screen or the dog will have a collision once it is installed. I would buy again.

These flaps are brilliant and it was simple to get my local glass supplier to install it into the door frame . My only issue was Bailey , he ran of of his chew bone and chewed the flap . Hopefully we can buy a replacement flap but it’s no reflection on quality as we are very happy with this flap and it has made our life simple .
