Great & easy to use countertop or beginner hydroponic system
Hort/Ag major with a lot of hydroponic experience-settled on two of these for our 6yo plant enthusiast as a holiday gift. Not at all disappointed, these work wonderfully! He had germination of several veg varities within the first week. We opted for two (using a rollint cart system for him) so he'd have plenty of space to grow a few different vegs at once. The guide that came with was pretty straight forward & covered most things. Assembly was extraordinarily simple. One of the little features we liked in choosing, was the growth plate stilts-making it easier for him not to just plant, but to also make it easier for him to trim roots. Even when he's spilled a little water on top when filling the tank, the water runs off pretty quickly back into the tank itself-a big concern for us initially (and partly why we did a rolling cart). The water indicator is great, as well as the nutrient reminder. The nutrition is a bit vauge, but the tank is 10L (listed at the back of the manual with specs) and the guideline on the bottle indicate 25ml of A & 25ml of B per 5L (50ml of both for a freshly filled tank). Note that we did not/have not added nutrients until our seeds have fully germinated to reduce evaporation waste & algae production (seeds have food within seedcoats). Each bottle once reconstituted has just over two full tanks worth of food. We did opt for the additional food kit (2x of each A & B + 20 new sponges, cones, seed tweeders, stickers & covers), and may be something to consider. We also opted to use the center circles from stickers to cover the trellis pole holes, in order to reduce any extra light entering the tank until plants would need them (although these bits are not adhesive). The stickers were easy to use and remove (helpful for a kiddo who may not align just right the first go) & can be labeled with a permennant marker (they are glossy to protect from water). We did opt to use one of the trellis poles to install a small, clip on rechargeable fan for his more densely planted unit (low growing salad mixes) along with spacing between to cut down on mold/mildew happenstances & to allow extra air flow. We also opted to set our units to turn on after dusk & run during nighttime hours, as ours do receive gentle shaded light throughout the daytime & lit when our home temps are set much lower than daytime temperatures. Would recommend first time growers to opt for easy to grow & small/dwarf varities. It may be helpful to also choose to grow a few lower growing plants with a couple taller/stem growing plants to maximize space and/or sustain air circulation without overcrowding. We did really like that these units also came with cap covers for spacing (again to limit light entering the tank), which several other units we compared with did not. Bonus for these fitting snugly, but also easy to remove when need be! Directions do state to seed sponges with multiple seeds, we've found that for varities that allow more dense planting parameters, to use a curtain pin to pop holes around the sponges to spread seeds out a bit more vs dumping several in the prefabricated holes. This has worked great for leafy varities, and we haven't had the need for thinning. We also opted to use RO water, as this is what we use in our commercial greenhouse & is easily accesible to us. All in all, a great counter top or beginner hydroponic garden! Easily manageable for both youth & those with mobility issues (we will be ordering another pair for a family member w/ stroke history, as they can use this system with ease too!) Works Great! No issues! Comes with everything but water and seeds!
Absolutely love this hydroponic grower! I planted lettuce seeds and have already cut it twice for salads and it’s ready to be cut again! Oak Leaf lettuce and arugula have been the most successful so far. Lettuce is great because you cut it and it just keeps growing back. This photo is from when it was just getting started.

Stylish Design with Bright Lights and Good Capacity
This is my second unit from this brand. My first one was a smaller model, and I wanted a larger system this time. The grow light is noticeably brighter compared to other brands, which I really like. The size is perfect for what I was looking for, although the water tank holds closer to eight liters rather than the ten liters I initially expected. Assembly was simple, and the design is very sleek. Out of all the growing systems I have seen so far, this one feels the most stylish. One thing to note is that you should place it on a flat surface before filling it with water. When I filled it elsewhere, the body slightly warped and the top plate did not fit properly, but once moved to a flat table, it worked fine. I also assumed the light would turn on immediately when powered, but it requires holding the button for three seconds. I struggled a bit at first because I did not read the instructions carefully. The water level is not visible from the outside, and it seems the system notifies you with a light when water is needed. I plan to update my review once I see how well that function works.

Very happy
I absolutely love it. It works as it is meant to. The only thing is you can’t set the cycle so you have to put the wrong time in so it is off when you sleep. Wonderful buy.

Can't adjust light height.
The instructions say that the light should be six inches above your plants but the height won't lower that far. Why would a product fail to comply with their own instructions. Not useful. Gave one star because zero wasn't an option.
