I’ve had a few galaxy/star light projectors over the years of varying quality, but they’ve all been around the £20-£40 price range, so I was hesitant about paying more than double that for the Govee one. However, I have a range of Govee lighting in a couple of rooms in my home, and I’ve always found their products to be excellent for the price, and their customer service is fantastic - so I bit the bullet, and bought myself one of these star light projectors.From the moment I switched it on, I was super impressed - the colours are vibrant, the vibe is very mellow, the range of scenes is impressive, and the laser stars do more in terms of movement and twinkling than any other such device I’ve had. The ability to customise your own colours, speed, effects, light direction and other variables is also a feature I’ve not had before. You can also apply scenes that other projector owners have shared onto Govee’s DIY area with a simple button press, so your potential choice of scenes is increased exponentially.My main reason for getting this star light projector was to see if it would help me get to sleep by promoting a relaxing atmosphere in my bedroom and, depending on the colours you choose and the speed of the waves, this creates a brilliant relaxing vibe which has certainly been conducive to helping me get to sleep. I tend to use this now instead of dimmed colour Govee wall sconces which I have above my headboard, as long as I’m not reading because the waves of light are a bit distracting for that, and the sconces excel at providing a range of colours that are easy to read by yet not so harsh as white.If you’re looking for a star light/galaxy projector, then you should really give this one serious consideration because it’s by far the best one I’ve ever owned, and the first one I’ve used every night since I bought it because it’s that darned good. Some people think these are just for kids but I assure you, as a 52 year old, that they offer something that’s useful to anyone of any age - the lights are so relaxing, your cares just drift away and you’re soon off in the land of nod. Fortunately the projector has an auto off, so you don’t have to worry about turning it off before you drift off.Pricey but brilliant, a very easy two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻

Simply, it wouldn’t turn on. I swapped out leads, plugs and sockets and to no avail. No response from the device on any function.Luckily I tested it before wrapping it.

I've had a few star light projectors before but they have all be generic budget ones, when I got the opportunity to order this Govee one, being a big fan of Govee stuff and having several lights already, I jumped at the chance.The firth thing that strikes you about this Govee star light projector is just how big it is, much bigger than the usual budget ones. The other surprising thing is, unlike all the other Govee lights I have, this one does not come with a power supply, just a USB lead, so you will need to find a suitable USB power point.Like all the other Govee items I've used, pairing with the app is straight forward and quick. Once it is registered in the app you can group it with other Govee lights and even control it using Alexa if you have the app set up correctly.In use the light is brighter that previous star light projectors I've used, I guess that is a bonus of the bigger size. As well as a few lighting modes the projector also has a built in speaker which can be used to generate various sound "effects" or you can pair with it and use it as a Bluetooth speaker. As a Bluetooth speaker it's not what you would class as a party speaker, it's very light on bass and not overly loud.The lighting effect itself is very pleasant and you have some control over the colours and wave patterns, however there are not a lot of options and they all look a bit samey. The starlight effect can be turned on and off as desired but again other that the speed and brightness there isn't a lot of customisation.One of the modes in the app is DreamView where multiple units are grouped together and there are various themes you can choose from, however there are audio sounds to accompany these themes and although you can choose the Starlight projector as the output device you don't get the correct sound, you just get one of the generated sound effects mentioned above. The only way to get the correct audio out of the starlight speaker is to pair your phone with it and select the phone as the audio device, this is a very convoluted method and seems like it is not working as it should.Overall, a great starlight projector which is easy to control using the app or possibly Alexa, but the limited modes and issues I've experienced don't justify a premium price.

It’s a very good product, I did find on some of the setting the light would flicker annoyingly, but if I don’t use those setting it fine. It’s had all the relevant updates etc..

Ease of use, it was easy to set up via the app and some really nice effects the only slight downside is the buzzing but doesn’t affect my use of this and I combine it with my Govee galaxy projector it makes a calming bedtime experience

I have lots of govee lighting products and they are all great. I understand they are quite a bit more expensive than other options however I usually say it is worth the extra money as you are paying for a reputable brand and you usually get better quality products which last longer and are easier to use with the govee app.Although these are all still true, in this case, I think you are probably better off going for a cheaper option. This projector does do everything you want, it projects onto the ceiling and is nice and bright with vibrant colours. You can control things such as the speed and brightness from the app which is nice and allows you to set timers etc.The issue is that I don't really see any reason to spend the extra on this product when you can get similar light projectors for around a third of the price. I know these may not be from a well-known brand but I have tried quite a few and I can't see anything that makes this stand out over cheaper options.Overall, it is a great light projector however I would probably save some money and look for a cheaper alternative.

The media could not be loaded. Der Govee - Sternenhimmel Projektor "Aurora" mehrere kleine und ein riesen großes Problem - nämlich die Lautstärke. Weder der Sternenlaser noch die Aurora Glühbirne verursachen diesen Lärm, sondern die kleine perforierte ovale Drehscheibe, welche dafür sorgt, dass der grüne Laser die prodzierten "Sterne" kreisen bzw. rotieren lässt. In der Govee App kann man die Rotationsgeschwindigkeit in 1% Schritten stufenlos anpassen (siehe Video), jedoch verändert dies nur das Geräusch, mindert oder beseitigt es jedoch nicht. Teilweise werden die Frequenzen des Geräusches sogar noch unangenehmer als beim Ausgangswert von 50%. Und diese Geräuschkulisse ist nicht nur mir sondern auch meiner Freundin aufgefallen, die sogar tippend am Computer saß während bei offenem Fenster der Straßenverkehr zu hören war und auf einem Handy noch Instagram Reels liefen - also keinesfalls ein ruhiges Szenario. Also einschlafen könnte man unserer Meinung nach bei diesem Geräusch definiv nicht. Es hilft auch nicht, den "White Noise" Modus hinzu zu schalten, welcher Einschlafgeräusche über einen internen Lautsprecher prouziert. Das nervtötende Geräusch ist in allen Distanzen und Umgebungszenarien deutlich hörbar. Ich habe versucht, es so gut wie möglich mit dem iPhone 13 Pro meiner Freundin aufzunehmen. Wenn ich mir das Video ansehe und anhöre, könnt ihr mir glauben ist das Geräusch in Realität bedeutend lauter als hier. Darüber hinaus ist das Gerät extremst klobig und wirkt billig, eher wie 30€ Temu Ware. Die Sterne werden auch in einem völlig unnatürlichem Muster projiziert und folgen stets dem selben Schema, das bricht die Illusion (Siehe Bilder, ein 2 Video erlaubt Amazon mir nicht hoch zu laden). Der Bereich in dem die Wand oder Decke angestrahlt wird ist auch sehr begrenzt meiner Meinung nach. Geht zurück.

Ich darf diesen Sternenprojektor im Rahmen eines Vine Produkttests ausprobieren. Ich habe ihn zu diesem Zweck kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen, was meine Rezension jedoch nicht beeinflusst.Für knapp 100€ habe ich deutlich mehr erwartet. Dieses Gerät unterscheidet sich meiner Meinung nach nicht wesentlich von den 30€ Geräten, und die haben sogar noch eine Fernbedienung!Die Sterne, wie immer unverständlicherweise in grün und nicht in weiß, werden durch einen deutlichen Punkt abgebildet und viele schwächere Punkte drum herum. Sinn unbekannt...Es gibt einen Lautsprecher, der verschiedene gespeicherte Töne abspielen (Regen, Vogelgezwitscher...) oder auch mit einem externen Gerät verbunden werden kann. Qualität: mäßig.Die Deckenfläche, die beleuchtet wird, ist relativ klein für so ein großes Gerät.Der Projektor hat ein wahrnehmbares Eigengeräusch, das ich sonst nicht kenne von derartigen Projektoren. Es scheint von dem Motor zu stammen, der die Lichteffekte bewegt. Das ist sehr ungewöhnlich, alle anderen Projektoren die ich kenne tun dasselbe, sind aber komplett lautlos.Man hat bei diesem Projektor keine Fernbedienung, kann ihn aber mit einem Smartphone verbinden, was einem deutlich mehr Einstellungsmöglichkeiten öffnet.Ich konnte bisher noch nichts feststellen, was einen mehr als verdreifachten Preis rechtfertigt wie bei vergleichbaren Projektoren. Zumal die Darstellung der Sterne sehr verwirrend ist, und das Muster sich sehr engmaschig wiederholt. Das habe ich schon deutlich besser gesehen.Von mir keine Empfehlung, auch nicht zu einem reduzierten Preis. Es gibt bessere Geräte, die komplett lautlos sind.

Diese Bewertung beginnt mit einem großen Lob, den Nachteilen, gefolgt von tollen Vorteilen. Wer nichts gefgen App Steuerung hat, findet hier einen sehr guten Projektor.Ich habe bereits über 7 Sternhimmel Projektoren besessen, Preisspanne 30 bis 100€. Sie alle hatten nicht die Helligkeit, wie dieser. Oder hatten starr fixierte Sterne, Sterne in einem unnatürliche Raster Bild etc. Dieser Projektor aber kann einen 50 qm Raum problemlos mit Aura füllen und hat Sterne, die in alle Richtungen laufen, blinken, diffusen. sogar ihr Verhalten kann nan per App programmieren. Es ist wie ein echter Sternenhimmel, nur im klassischen Lasergrün.Nun die Nachteile:*Der recht große Projektor hat einen Lüfter. Er rauscht also im Betrieb. Unsere Kinder können dabei trotzdem schlafen, wenn er weiter weg steht. Dafür ist erhellt genug.*Das Gerät hat zwar einen Power Knopf und maginale Bedienknöpfe, kann in diesem Modus jedoch nur die drei Grundfarben machen. Man benötigt zur Steuerung die App. *Diese App verlangt eine Unzahl an Berechtigungen nebst Konto. Selbst Abhören, teilen aller Daten mit unbekannten Firmen etc ist Bestandteil der chinesischen Nutzungsrechte.*die App ist schwer zu bedienen, obgleich die eine wirklich große Vielfalt an Einstellungen für den Projektor bietet.*Kinder können den Projektor demnach eigentlich nicht selbst bedienen, außer an, aus, musik Wahl und drei Aurafarben.*die App ist kompliziert zu benutzenVorteile der App:*fertige Szenen mit und ohne Musik ebenso wie selbstgemachte Szenen möglich*Es gibt eine Automatisierungsfunkion, die ein Schalten nach Uhrzeit oder Sonnenstand ermöglicht.Die Appsteuerung hat also auch Vorteile und rechtfertigt in dem Zusammenhang zumindest den Preis. Ich hätte mir aber mehr Möglichkeiten einer manuellen Bedienung bzw. remote Fernbedienung erhofft. Gibt's nicht. Man ist von seinem Handy und der Bloototh Kopplung abhängig.Kindern Licht anmachen und dann den Bloototh Bereich verlassen...
