Came with at least some charge, so I tried it immediately. My elderly blind dog gets things stuck in his paws, and hates his paws being messed with. I got through a whole paw easily and quickly. Despite holding a struggling dog, the shave was very close and smooth, and didn’t cause him any pain or nicks. The light comes on automatically, but he struggled too much for it to be helpful. I hope he gets more calm with having his paws tampered with, but doubt I’ll ever be doing it long enough for heat to be a problem. This seems well made, and the head is tiny enough to quickly maneuver the crevices it needs to. (I was looking for a tiny head, a close shave with no risk of hurting him, and a low vibration that wouldn’t freak him out. This delivered all of that.)

Works great and is super slim. Not too noisy and vibration is minimal thus an easy introduction to my pup!

I bought this trimmer for my long hair dachsund's little grinch feet. It works pretty good, but I had to trim the feet first. It is not super strong, so you have to go slow, which he doesn't like. It does get between the pads on his feet good, so that alone is a good reason to purchase it.

Good for paws

I bought this trimmer a couple months ago to trim my long hair cats paws. It worked great the first couple of times but after about 5 uses I noticed the trimmer wasn’t cutting as well and started to sound like it was slowing down/dying right off the charger. It’s a good choice if you just need a quick cheap trim, but I recommend maybe investing a little more to get a better quality one. This one was a good size for a 5 month old kittens though!

I absolutely love this shaver, it is an absolute lifesaver. I am in dog grooming school, and I use this almost every day. I rarely have to charge it, the small blade clears out the paw pad SO nicely. It has totally saved me from having to use my massive clippers on a tiny puppy, and let me get it done quickly which saves me AND the dog stress. It is very quiet when in use and has a light that turns on with the switch, it is SO EASY to see! It is also lightweight and sturdy, I am able to maneuver very easily

if you have dogs with silky hair this won't work for trimming between their little feet. It does work better for a bit courser hair dogs. Also, the blades at least on mine are not very sharp which is perhaps why it doesn't work on my Maltese.

The trimmer works well- it is very small so great for paws and around the face. Seems safe to use - can’t accidentally cut skin. Also not as noisy as clippers
