Does more than imagined
So handy! The outside & bottom barely get warm & feel good to wrap hands around on cold days w/ no burning of hands or surfaces @ all. All 3 colors look great. I kept the green for myself. I've fried HB in it, added some peas, gr. beans, & pumpkin in after draining the fat off & made a meal for my dog. It does much more than rice & soups. It's very fast. If non-scratch utensils are used, it can serve both for cooking & also eating out of. Nothing sticks to it as long Iong as non-scratch cleaning pads & utensils are the only things used in it. A set of bamboo eating utensils along w/ silicone cooking utensils work perfectly to protect the ceramic. It would work for workplace lunches, college dorm use, RV's & tiny kitchens, or single people just not needing to drag out a lot of cooking stuff. I thought it was pricey & almost decided against getting it. I really like it tho! It heats so fast that I pretty much ignore the settings & just watch it. Takes about 30 seconds to heat a can of soup. Less for hot chocolate. It'll cook spaghetti, mac & cheese, & all sorts of soups/stews/noodles/& things. I haven't tried baking a muffin or brownie in it yet, but I think I could w/ the keep warm feature if the hot functions are too hot. I'll have to try both ways & see, but I bet it'll work. It's big enough to use some of the the microwave mug meal recipes (doubled) in it. This is a handy little appliance that has really impressed me w/ what all I can use it for & how cute, simple, & easily adaptable it has been for me. I'm having fun thinking of new things to try in it. Baked apples & cinnamon maybe, or who knows what. UPDATE: I got a recipe book for the Dash Mini Rice Cooker & I already had a recipe book for 1.5qt slow cookers. Both if then work perfectly for this cute little mug style rice cooker to expand meals to just about anything you could imagine or want to cook or bake in perfectly sized meals for a single person wanting only small meals, watching portion sizes, or just don't want to drag out a lot of stuff in the kitchen & keep it simple. Love this adorable little mug cooker. Cooks & bakes a lo5 of diffrrent things if you're willing to try it. I use my mug meal recipes in this too instead of a microwave. I don't have a microwave, but do have a mug meals recipe book for the small proportioned meals & treats & to keep things simple & quick w/o a lot of fuss. So go for it & discover as I did that you aren't limited to rice & soups w/ this little mug rice cooker. It'll surprise you!

Also Great for Oatmeal
It's just what I was hoping for. It's perfect for my oatmeal in the morning. I know that it doesn't need to be good looking but it is. The smooth design, and the fact that the plug unhooks from the base makes it so easy to clean. There are no little nooks and crannies for anything to get caught in. It is quite simplistic, but is very well designed and I highly approve of the materials. I've cooked brown rice in it, and I recommend a stir at some point of any long cook to keep the rice on the bottom from toasting a little. Because there is no detachable bowl insert, I don't need a rice paddle to scoop the food out, I just unplug it and lift the whole unit by it's handle. It completely lives up to being 'non-stick'. I'm also glad to have this on hand for when the power goes out. I can plug it in to my reserve electricity and use it as a cook pot to warm soup and the like. I think energy consumption would be too high to make rice with my small energy setup, but there is a lower setting to keep things warm that I think will work well for soup or cooked beans. Just what I wanted. I've had more expensive rice cookers with all sorts of fancy settings, but for the price point you can't beat this well designed, attractive little maker.

light weight, easy clean and portable.
This is a very nice product for a small family lunch/dinner preparation. I used it twice for making lamb chop stew. Just added water, seasoning, vegetable and meat, then selected the program and let it cook. 45 minutes later, a wonderful, simple dinner was done. The pot is small, lightweight, and has a non-stick surface. Easy to clean and store. I bought it in black. Very slick. It does take a longer time to cook a meal, so if you try to make something quick, it is not for you.

Game changer! A few tips I learned…
My second purchase with some things I learned. First, the metal part of the lid can come off if the one little screw comes loose. Just watch for that. Second, wash it lightly without rubbing water over the outlet part of cooker. My first one had an error for a couple of days before it reset and I think it’s because that part got very wet. I ended up tossing the first one after these two happened, thinking it was broken, when it wasn’t. So I’m just removing one star for these small details. But it’s worth the rebuy. My old review- This thing is just great- the 40 minute setting to make oatmeal/barley/congee, put everything in, stir, leave it and shower, come back stir and everything is nice and soft! The ceramic coating is naturally nonstick just don’t tap hard on any of the surface. I chipped the top rim accidentally but the inside is fine, so just fyi. I looked at a lot of others before buying this one and we are so glad! The 90 degree setting was so helpful when I was sick. Congee for a couple days and always hot. Makes about 2-3 oatmeal servings at a time.

Low power, cleaning difficult
Does what it says on the tin. It cooks rice, and there's settings for soup, etc. The nonstick coating is good so far, no chipping or sticking. The only problem is, you can never soak or fully wash the pot. The pot doesn't come out, it's all one unit. You can't immerse the unit, so I wind up spraying with dish spray and wiping, then rinsing carefully. The power is pretty low. It takes 40 minutes to cook rice, on that setting. Almost 2 hours for soup. This item cannot make cake or bread. I feel like this is a hot pot with a rice setting. Even a cheap one button rice cooker can make cake and bread.

Perfect rice maker
I really like is ceramic, quick cooking, size is perfect and it doesn’t get stick. Price is fine and has multiple functions. The only downside is the pot doesn’t come out and it is a little tricky to wash it
