This is a GREAT generator, and a great deal during black Friday. We live in a somewhat rural area that gets occasional power outages, but if the main line to our area goes down, we'd be out for days. This gives me piece of mind. Electric start is amazing. Comes right up! As I type this, we're experiencing a planned 8-hour power outage (power company is installing new poles). Plugged this bad boy into the interlock kit port, flipped the interlock and breaker, and we're at full strength. Right now it's running lights, 2 fridges, the hot tub (which I just now realized I didn't turn off!) and all our household electronics. I haven't flipped back on the HVAC yet but I'm pretty sure this beast will handle it. Easy assembly, all tools included. It's loud, but it's not designed as a quiet generator so that's not a ding, just letting y'all know. It's also quite heavy, but the wheels and handles make it pretty easy to move around without too much trouble. Safety note: PLEASE remember to ground your generators!

We've had this generator since 2022 have haf no problems. It starts everytime We've needed it. Absolutely best purchase we made.

We got this on a black Friday deal and could not be happier. It runs or entire house plus. Some people gave this bad review because of dead batteries, no oil, and shipping damage...read product specs lol.

I received my Duromax generator and everything was great. Started right up (using propane). Did a maintenance start a few months later and it started right up and ran for 15 minutes. The next day, for the first time since receiving the generator, our power went out. I started the generator again, everything was fine until the tarp I had covering the outdoor open structure, fell down around the structure and causes the generator to shut down due to Co2 being detected. So that safety feature works as well. Then, after the Co2 cleared, I tried starting the Generator but it would only try and start and then backfire. I purchased a new NGK BPR6RES, installed it and the generator once again fired right up. Buy a plug and keep it on hand. My son had a similar problem with his Duromax which also corrected the problem.

This generator satisfied my expectations. After following the instructions and finishing the assembly, it runned as expected with propane gas. I check the output voltage and showed 230 V. I connected my 120 V wire feed welder and worked smoothly. The frame is all metal and is powder coated. I will mostly use it for remote welding and power outage situations. This generator is noisy, but I could build an accoustic box to mitigate some of the noise. I did the same test with gasoline and gave me the same out come. The only thing that I dislike about this purchase was that the item was slightly damage. Looks it was hit on one corner and the frame was slightly bent. I try to be fair and I will not return it unless it fails on me on fuctionality. It is a good unit. The seller can not control the human delivery factor. I can use the unit with this slight damage. Never the less I did mention it to Amazon so they can be aware and if they need to change carriers so be it.

Used it for the first time yesterday. I like that the electric start is automated. Once you press the button the starter cranks for about 4 seconds, rests for 5 seconds, and tries again. This continues until either it starts or you turn off the battery switch. But, be aware, this thing is a BEAST, at 200+ pounds it can be difficult to maneuver. I'm already thinking about building a small shed in the yard.

Our electrician recommended this generator brand and he installed indoor/outdoor connections for it. We've been extremely happy with how it operates. We purchased a trickle charger for it and a protective cover. Have only needed to use it a couple times and it powered all the essential things in our household with no problem at all -- well pump, boiler, 2 refrigerators, freezer, lights and internet, plus can handle even more. We have to be at home to move it outside to start it, but for us, it was a good investment and we can take it with us if we ever decide to move. Solid, well made, easy push button self-starting. Couldn't be happier.

I purchased this item last week. It was delivered on 2/13/23. I immediately assembled the item in accordance with the User Manual. I attempted to use the Propane source. After MANY attempts, the generator WILL NOT START. I tried contacting Duramax directly via phone, voicemail and email and have yet to hear back, I then contacted Amazon who has done nothing but send me around in circles and refusing to help resolve the issue. I do understand that the item CANNOT BE RETURNED but according to the item description, it is ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT and AMAZON PRODUCT SUPPORT. Amazon has refused to initiate a REFUND or REPLACEMENT and has continued to direct me to the Manufacturer for Product Support. How is that AMAZON PRODUCT SUPPORT???? I did purchase the Asurian Insurance coverage with the product and Amazon has told me to file a claim...once again avoiding any involvement in resolution. I purchased the coverage (3 years) in case I encountered issues down the road and not to use on a brand new defective item! I am willing to work with Manufacturer and Amazon but I am not getting the support from Amazon. My next step is contact Amex and get them involved......stay tuned Update....after receiving no help from Amazon, I was able to get in touch with Duromax and they were unbelievably helpful. After walking me through several unsuccessful troubleshooting solutions, it was determined that I had received defective unit. Without hesitation, they offered to send me a new unit directly from them at no cost (since I was still within the 30 day window for returns). If you are considering purchasing this item, I strongly suggest that you skip the "middleman" and purchase directly from Duromax. If not for them standing behind their product I would be stuck with a BRAND NEW worthless pile of scrap metal. Thank you Duromax for picking up the ball that was dropped and kicked by Amazon!!!
