Sharp and Hot Fantastic
This heat knife as saved me a lot of time and mess, very sharp blades which get very hot, just slices through polystyrene insulation with ease. I have even used it cut through drain pipe with ease. Well built with great quality and value.

Great tool
This is a great tool. The temperature control slows you to get it just right for different materials. Itโs only hot while you are holding the trigger so is safe to leave sitting between cuts.

Dangerous
Dangerous - Started sizzling and burning on second use and then failed, just glad the trip switch went. Upon then picking it up, the wires completely fell out of the gun, burnt. No BS marking or any other safety markings.

Hot knife for 3D prints. not bad, but not great alittle too big.
Hot knife for cutting 3D prints, it does heat up and it can cut through plastic and other matierals, it's alittle big and heavy to put through the stl printed item, but it does work, but I wouldn't be convinced it was perfect. The blade screws in which is a pain, but also it's not easy to hold which applying the heat for the print and holding the gun for any longer than a minutebe

Easy to use and good value. Very pleased.
Great foam cutter, I used it to cut the foam inside a large case, that my pistol fitted in, then I lined the case with some crushed velvet. Very pleased with the result.

Versatile cutter
In the past Iโve tried cutting polystyrene with a basic knife. Not a good idea as you get bits of statically charged polystyrene everywhere. So this cutter interested me. You get a number of different blades the heat gun an Alan key and a coper wire brush. The system for attaching the blades is quite basic but works well enough, just unscrew the contact plates with the Allan key, slip the blade end under the contact plate and tighten. When using the cutter it remains quite cool. The heated blade cut through the polystyrene with relative ease, but starts to snag after a while so take is slow and easy and your fine, cut too fast and it will start to tear rather than cut, The blade melts the polystyrene as it cuts, so you get a coating on the blade and thin hair like strands. The set includes a copper brush to clean the blade afterwards, but the quality of the brush is poor quality and I believe will need replacing in time. Although you donโt get a case as such with the set, the box it comes in is relatively strong carboard box which internally has cut out holes/slits in foam to hold the contents. I would definitely keep the box for storage, you can however lift out the foam innards and use it in a draw etc. Instructions are poor with no mention of the temperature control wheel or red LED. I haven't had the need to cut foam as yet, but have no reason to doubt its ability to do so.

Amazing product
Works like a charm. Bought it for cutting plastic and various DIY jobs around the house and it has been wonderful. Looks durable and built with quality. Just remember to clean the melted plastic off the blade with the metal brush :)

Good job
Does the job required

It does its job. But it doesn't have any CE or CA/UK marking. Beware! This is understandable as the mains power goes straight through the handle to the naked clamps where the cutting blads are. I wouldn't trust the breaker switch either so make sure it is unplugged when I leave it aside.
