First, I would say to be cautious when he was in screws with these. I had first two I put into the floor broke and was able to get one of the two out. This made installation a little difficult. Also, you have to be real careful as to how you lining up there is no alignment and arrows to make sure the magnets are facing the correct way. I would imagine that installing this into the wall instead of the floor would be a lot more simpler and probably would have a better hold. But when mounted a 90° to the floor, I believe there’s a little bit less magnet contact. When the door opens it stops to fine, but know how to get the magnets to hold you need to intentionally bring it back and once it’s there, it does its job very well holding the door where you want it. I think the difficulty comes from trying to install this in a tight corner at a 90°. I considered using the tape to get an in position, but instead use masking tape on the floor to draw a circle in a rough ideas to the direction needs to go. Because as you unscrew the magnetic part from the mount, you have to keep an eye as to which way the orientation is of the magnet in conjunction with the orientation of the three screw floor mount. I would recommend this item, just be aware that if you are drilling into a hardwoods pre-drill holes or better yet just use your own heavier screw screws. One comment about the screws they’re not flathead. They’re tapered, even though none of the amounts are tapered and they should’ve provided a flathead screw instead.
