Great product! Takes a bit to warm up. Be careful not to overheat as it does burn if over heated (test it on your wrist before applying to someone else). Goes on easily with a popsicle stick and makes great effects that blend well with the face. I created gross cuts, peeling skin, and burns on myself, my husband, and my daughter. It stayed on very well, looked real, and washed off easily with soap and water. If you haven't used it before, I do suggest watching a tutorial. I did a practice before and then did our Halloween makeup after the tutorial. I was pleased the first time, but super proud of the tricks I learned on the tutorial. Also, this product goes a long way. With 4 applications (various spots, not full face) we have over half the bottle left. Can't wait to use it again next year for some more cool effects!

It takes a while for it to melt into a liquid state for application and it’s quite messy. Make sure you have a lot of towels under and around you. Takes a while to dry, and just know it’s sticky even when dried. My hair kept getting stuck to it. Do not microwave. Stick bottle in cup of hot water for like 5-10 mins. It’s hard, but it will get gooey with heat. It did create the melted flesh effect I was going for.

After reading many reviews and watching the videos, I bought this for use on Halloween. I was pleased with the product, and have the following tips: 1. Practice with it ahead of time. It takes time to dry and you want to get used to the consistency of the product, how to style it, etc. Don't wait until the night of your event to try it for the first time. Buy the larger bottle so you have more to work with. 2. Heat it up slowly. Its consistency is akin to microwaveable body wax. If you've ever used that, you know that if you microwave it for too long: it gets very hot, liquefies more, is thinner, will therefore take longer to cool, and will take longer to dry. 3. It takes a long time to apply. If you want to add volume you need each layer to dry before you apply the next one. 4. Use a fan to help it dry faster. If you don't overheat the product it won't take too long to dry, but a fan makes it go even faster. 5. You will definitely need powder to set it. Powder also solves the problem of it being a little bit sticky and shiny. I bought tinted facial powder and that was great. 6. This comes off really easily. You just sort of peel it off. I didn't have it on for too long though. It didn't rip my eyebrows off when it got on them either. I bought this to create a "caveman forehead" for a Halloween costume, but when I realized how long it would take to do the makeup properly, I realized I wouldn't have time. The product did work as advertised. I think you could make a really cool Klingon forehead with this stuff. It would also be great for wounds and other cosplay.

Product arrived so thick and dry it would not even come out of the bottle even with me trying to pull it out with tweezers. I had to cut bottle top and huge solid chunks came out

This was so much easier to work with then liquid latex was!!! It's vary forgiving and easy to work with. For Halloween I needed to create some ripped flesh and it did an excellent job. You have to use a setting powder with it to keep it from moving around and being sticky. I'm so glad I purchased this I'll never do liquid latex again for torn flesh! I tried the "hot bath" method of heating up the gel and it didn't work at all. I ended up putting it in the microwave for 5 seconds and then testing the heat of the gel on the inside of my wrist. It doesn't cool off fast I was able to work with it for about an hour and a half before I had to reheat it.

i used it for a Freddy krueger make up look for halloween, it’s a little hard to work with at first, and by the end of the night it started lifting by the mouth area but i just put latex on it to help it stick better, it definitely gives a great effect and texture!!

The first thing I have to say is people don’t read directions. I ordered mine for the first time and it came in hard like everybody else else’s who left a negative review. And I questioned it. It’s sat outside in the cold for a little bit today, but I’ve used this brand multiple times and they have amazing products so I looked into the directions. It does come in a solid form heat the bottle with hot water and it works perfectly. I’m so glad I found this product for my costume this year!!

It was easy to use and adapted to color. I have sensitive skin and it didn't leave me irritated like latex does. It was always a little tacky but still stayed in place.

I've had a little pre-test of this product, so I would be able to use it with ease come Halloween. You need to heat the gel, I used boiling water and kept testing it, as you don't want to get it too hot and end up burning the skin. Once it has transformed from a solid to a nice thick liquid gel you are ready to go. I didn't find any issues whilst heating it and it gave the perfect consistency for applying to my face to achieve the look I was after (going for a melting skin look this Halloween). It dries reasonable quickly, you may just want to do an area at a time so you can hold your head in a position to let it dry where you want it to stay. I think with the full make up on, it will be another winner from the Mehron range, I am steadily building a whole Mehron set, as it really does ooze quality, compared to your average on line fancy dress make ups available.

Bonjour, Attention pour ceux qui habitent en France, je ne savais pas mais on a des frais de Douane ! J'ai payé 9€ de plus. Ce n'était pas prévu dans mon budget donc faites attention en réalité le produit vous coûtera un peu plus que 20€ au final. Sinon le produit à l'air bien, je ne l'ai pas encore utilisé. Ça surprend qu'il soit sous format solide mais il faut le faire chauffer pour le liquifier.
