Nootropics Depot is one of my favorite brands, and the Tauromag is my nightly go-to. I have tried a whole array of different magnesium supplements, including the much-praised l-threonate, and I keep coming back to the ND Tauromag because for me, it's the most effective. I've probably tried over 20 different ND supplements -- yes, I take a lot of supplements. Some I try once, but I've bought this one on repeat. I trust the ND quality, their testing process, and the company's commitment to producing topnotch products. Not the cheapest, but I'm particular about what I want to put in my body, and I'm happy to pay a few dollars more.

I've got an array of magnesium types: Micromag, L-Threonate, Glycinate, and this, Tauromag. This is the most effective one for me personally for sleeping, without any GI issues (though, I no longer get any issues from any of the other magnesium either after getting accustomed to them). Anyone in the nootropics space knows how difficult it is to parse the noise of what is an effect and what is placebo. I can say with a reasonable degree of confidence that this supplement helps relax me at night to prepare for an effective sleep - something that's important for our recovery, our emotional regulation, and our minds. Being sharp, and on top of things helps mitigate impulsivity, helps you perform your best, helps you remember the moments you can cherish, and helps you do the things you enjoy. I'll never say a product is a must-buy for anyone; but, if you're looking to improve your sleep, and you have the income to spare, give this supplement a try.

This product contains a patented proprietary form of magnesium and so no wonder, it's quite expensive. A cheaper way would be to take magnesium and taurine supplements together (which I do) without having to pay premium prices for patented formulations. I take this form of Magnesium only for its effect on sleep. I take 1 capsule of this product alongside Magnesium Glycinate from other brands. It is made in the USA, GMP-certified, 3rd party tested. Magnesium N-Acetyltaurinate, also known as ATA Mg or TauroMag, is a unique form of magnesium that combines magnesium with N-acetyltaurine, which crosses the blood-brain barrier for use in the brain (somewhat like Magnesium L-Threonate?). This compound offers several potential benefits, particularly for brain and nervous system health. ATA Mg is considered highly bioavailable, with improved cellular penetration compared to other forms of magnesium. The acetylation of taurine gives it a lipophilic character, facilitating passage through membrane phospholipids and enhancing absorption into cells, especially neuronal cells. This compound provides both magnesium (6%) and acetyl-taurine (93%), offering the benefits of both components. Acetyl-taurine is a natural metabolite of taurine, particularly abundant in the brain. ATA Mg may improve symptoms related to chronic magnesium deficiency in the hippocampus, a critical area for cognition. As with other forms of magnesium, ATA Mg may support better sleep and stress management, though its specific effects in these areas require further study. Four stars for its formulation. 1 star docked for its inflated price.

Outstanding for sleep. Take 2-3 a little before bedtime has worked amazing for me. Get to sleep and stay asleep waking up nice and refreshed in the AM w no grogginess. SUPER expensive though. Not sure I'll be ordering again from ND, will take my chances on another brand.

I really just don't know what to make of this supplement. Taking one a day doesn't seem to hurt it at all. It just doesn't seem to help much, either. I mean, I can't tell. I'm not opposed to adding it to my daily stack, but for more than a buck a pill, it's just way too much for benefits that seem to be too wide-ranging claim-wise and too hard to notice practically. It all sounds good in theory, and I believe in the quality and efficacy of the ingredients. I like the brand's overall vibe, and I've been very interested in taking this, I just can't quite get with it on any level. I don't doubt that it's helping in some way, I just need a little more at this price point.

I've tried a lot of the magnesium supplement in different forms from a handful of brands. All of them make noticable and subtle improvement on my mood and anxiety. But this Tauromag formulation definitely is the champion for the sleep. I just take 1 cap before bed and no more wake up in the middle of the night, a full restorative sleep.
