These things are great. I have 6 of the greens ones and bought this blue one for my torch guns. Was missing the 2mm (5/64") Allen Key on this one and two green ones. It just had the tape but I have 4 others from the green bottles I purchased. Refill them with my 20lb tank to be cost effective of about $1 per fill compared to $5 per store bought can.

works great and you can use any refill adapter...I bought a few of these and sometimes there is no allen key with the tank...you might need to buy your own 2mm allen key if it is not included as it is supposed to be...but these are easy to fill up...you need to turn the large tank you are filling from upside down and keep the small tank you are filling upright...use the allen key to open the release valve on the small tank so the air pressure can escape while filling the tank...when the white propane vapor begins shooting out of the release valve on the small tank, the tank is full and you immediately close the release valve with the allen key...best to leave the key in the release valve until you are finished ...obviously you want to do this process away from any flame or spark and in a well ventilated area...outside is best..also, it is wise to make sure both tanks are roughly the same temperature...if the small tank is a lot colder than the big tank containing the propane, you might fill the small tank too much because if it is really cold the propane will condense more as it fills...then later when it warms up it will expand and potentially bulge out and deform your tank...which could lead to a much bigger problem as you might imagine...in fact, it is even advisable not to fill the small tank if either tank is very cold, as you'll run into the same overfilling scenario once the small tank is brought into a warmer environment after being filled while either tank is very cold...I keep both tanks in a heated shed/garage for several hours before taking them outside to refill the smaller tank when I'm refilling during the winter months...warmer months don't require any of these refilling precautions, unless for some odd reason you keep your big tank and/or small tank in a freezer...these refillable tanks do not have a pressure release valve built into them that will automatically release pressure if you accidentally overfill the tank...if you are confused by my precautions above, just remember not to refill the small tank if the small tank is really cold (like you left it outside and it is winter cold when you go to refill it) or if the propane in the big tank is really cold (like the big tank was sitting outside in winter cold when you go to use it to refill a small tank)...will it cause an explosion if you do this? probably not the first time, or second time, or third time....but it certainly could at any time...so just be careful

Been filling standard bottles for years and haven’t blown myself up, yet. Just throw them away when they start to swell or get rusty. And lubricate and work the PSV before filling. Saw this on sale for 50% off and figured maybe I’ll tread into the land of the legal. Bottle looks nice but came with zero instructions to fill except have an authorized person fill your 1 pound bottle. Yeah, good luck with that. Haven’t filled it yet but I’m sure I’ll figure it out with some research. Hopefully I won’t need a proprietary fill adaptor. The description says the bottle is slimmer for better grip during torch use. That may be partially true but torch bottles are supposed to be designed to not flow liquid when tipped sideways. If this does not meet this requirement for torch bottles I’ll have to remember to come back and deduct the rating…. Update- Finally got to fill the bottle. Of course how it tightened in my generic adapter the bleed port wasn’t facing up. Facing down about 4 o'clock. Didn’t seem to matter much though. Loosened the ?/32 screw after initial flow slowed down and tightened once liquid started to purge. Bottle was over 3/4 full by weight. Works on torch just fine and even works inverted. Proper instructions would still have been nice but function for a torch bottle is spot on.
