Is it worth it?
The best smartwatch in almost every category. I use it mostly for tracking sleep, running, biking and golfing and so far it has blown me away. It is extremely accurate and with very heavy usage the battery lasts for weeks. Lots of different watch face options as well as bands available, I have on a titanium band. Insanely durable and just an all around amazing watch. I personally like the MIP display since it's always on and during the day I never need to use the light, the display is plenty bright enough. On the wrist it has a very premium look with the sapphire lens and titanium bezel. Size wise It's definitely on the bigger side of watches at 51mm but with that you also get the bigger battery. It's not too heavy tho, I think it feels just right. Very easy to learn how to use, either coming from an Apple watch or something else the software is very user friendly. It's pretty pricey at around $1,199 but I believe it is well worth the investment if you are someone who takes your health and well being seriously.

The Perfect Golf Caddie and much more.
Really like the larger face when using it for golf. Paired with the Garmin Z30 range finder and the Garmin Connect App this system is the perfect Golf Caddie. Used together it automatically triangulates your distance, factors wind, elevation/slope etc and gives you the Plays Like Distance, and it will recommend a club. I haven't purchased the club sensors, but I will, because they will track and learn your distances and make precise club selections according to the conditions. It's truly amazing! The local wind conditions, including the direction is super handy, especially in the hills and forests where wind direction can't be easily determined. When playing Cart Path Only, you can shoot the Z30 laser at the pin, it locks in the precise distance and then you can leave the range finder in your cart, as it will track you with GPS and auto adjust to the pin precisely. Lastly, the Find My Range Finder, and Find my Phone features make it worth every penny! I lost a $600.00 range finder on the golf course, that won't ever happen again.

Amazing watch with amazing features
We purchased this watch for our son's 24th birthday. He is not into materialistic goods in life, but does appreciate great technology. He has only had $5-30 cheap and often knock-off watches in his entire life and I wanted to get him a watch that he would use to the fullest. The watch is amazing with useful features and features that are most certainly overkills. Extremely low battery consumption, solar charging, health/exercise monitoring (almost like a helicopter parent), flashlight, GPS, and tons of other features seem to have already won him over. The reliability, waterproof built, and over-the-air updates will also be great for extended use. We hope that he might be inspired to perspire a bit more in his life toward a fitter and healthier physique and lifestyle (we are a disgrace to any outdoor activity through generations). I have been told that the watch can be useful if he/his group gets lost while hiking in remote areas. It is an extremely expensive watch (we could have bought ~40-50 knock-off 'smart' watches for this price) and he is still a bit uncomfortable to wear it. Otherwise, it is an awesome piece of technology.

Battery lasts for over 3 weeks
Best fitness tracker I have owned…only have to charge the battery every few weeks. Screen is very durable, I have heard it scrape on things and when I check there’s no damage or scratches….Garmin did a great job.

Amazing watch, aesthetically pleasing
It's a Garmin, what else is there to say. Its capabilities are beyond expectations. I'm coming from an instinct 2x and epix gen 2. I got this initially for the battery life, which was amazing! There was nothing new my epic couldn't do, except for the flashlight, maps and microphone. I haven't used maps since I got my epix. And the flashlight is such a luxury but it's not worth the price in 'upgrading'. It's such a beautiful watch and you could feel the quality in weight. The band is comfortable, and the size took a bit to get adjusted. I was upgrading for the fitness capabilities, again nothing my watches couldn't do. So I think I'm gonna be returning it, and soley for the legibility in doors, I thought it would be more legible even with low light but I've found myself to have to move my arm a certain way to read it. I didnt want to have the brightness up due to the battery drainage. If it was my first garmin watch, it'd definitely be worth the price.

Impressed So Far
First off, this thing is a beast, in terms of size. I'm guessing it has a bit to do with the battery inside. I'm coming from another brand, of which I was displeased at having to charge every day when I only had it connected via Bluetooth to my phone (no Always On display or other draining functions). So far I've had this watch since 1/3/2025 and I did a full recharge. It is now 1/13/2025 and I'm still at 39% charge. I am quite pleased with the battery duration but I also chose the solar charge option just as a backup recharge. I don't have alot of info to pass along about the solar recharge so I won't cover it in this review. There are a couple of things I would like to have seen but not really worth sending it back and getting the same old battery issues with other brands. This thing is expensive and I believe the price includes the name brand and it's satellite connectivity, as well as the built in maps. Two issues, and those aren't really on the watch itself. First, Garmin Pay does not work with any cards I own. Again, not the watches downfall but it does have an extensive list, just my card carriers haven't released the OK for Garmin Pay. The other is the lack of apps available for the watch. Again, not necessarily the watches issue, just not alot of third-party developers, I guess. I'm not a real exercise buff but this watch pretty much covers all activities from walking to swimming to scuba diving. I'll probably never use a lot of the features this watch has to offer but just the battery alone was worth it to me. Oh, forgot one other downfall is you can't download music from your phone to your watch (32gb). You can download from a computer using a program but you can't directly (via Bluetooth or cable connection) transfer music. It does work with third-party music apps such as Spotify, YouTube music, etc. ***UPDATE: It's now been 10 months of ownership and I am still impressed by this watch. The battery is still holding strong and there have been tons of software updates so I know Garmin is trying to improve their watches. There have been so many updates, I can't even list them but operation is flawless. If you're looking for a watch with stamina, battery-wise, this watch will not disappoint. Also has plenty of functions to please just about anyone, whether your camping, hiking, running, bicycling, scuba diving, playing golf, and many other activities. ***UPDATE 12/5/25. Do yourself a big favor if you are going to spend big bucks on this watch and get a sturdier band. Mine broke in less than a year, however, I can still wear the watch. I only take it off to clean it periodically and to recharge. It came with the silicone band. I recently purchased a leather band so hopefully it will last longer.

So many features and functions
Great watch. So many functions. Battery life is absolutely amazing. Solar charging is a bonus but not really sure how much that really adds. Would have to be outdoors for a long time to really see for sure. All the options and apps available for any type of fitness tracking and other activities make this a great purchase. So many features available, I’m still figuring them all out. These are not cheap but well worth it if you’re in the market for a device like this.

The best watch I ever had
By far the best sports watch I've ever owned. I migrated from a FENIX 6 Saphire that served me for 4 years and I don't regret it. I continued with the MIP option because it's more discreet and uses less battery. I wear it every day for indoor activities and on weekends for outdoor activities. The solar charging works very well, but to really have an effect you have to leave it in the sun a lot. On a day-to-day basis it doesn't make any difference, but perhaps on a longer walk, where you can put it in the sun to charge, on top of your backpack, it might make a difference. The changes are subtle, but they are noticeable on a daily basis, the screen settings via the app, the touchscreen working very well, are easy to adapt to. A friend once told me that it's easy to adapt to better quality, and it's true. I see a lot of people talk about the price, but unfortunately there's no such thing as good, beautiful and cheap. It's not cheap, but it's very beautiful and not just good, it's excellent. It's well worth buying.

Best smart watch in the market.
Garmin does not disappoint. I truly believe this is the best smart watch in the market for an active person. I do not notice it on my wrist. Amazing battery life. Excellent futures.

Lazy unfinished cash grab
No meaningful change compared to the fenix 7 pro. Voice commands are virtually useless and on the things it does work on (such as setting a timer) you'd be faster at it. And since it's not voice activated, you still have to have a free hand to use the thing. Everything that makes this watch good (cause it's a really good watch) are things that can be found on the fenix 7 pro for 800$ less. Flashlight, health tracking, GPS, touch screen, display. Go for the fenix 7 pro and save some money on an actually finished product not riddled with bugs.
