I use the Proyama auger as a post hole digger and so far it has worked great. The supplied augers dig clean holes and the motor is quiet and has plenty of power. One nice touch is that it features a reverse, which is extremely helpful when you get stuck in roots or rocks. I prefer this over the gas powered augers because I don't have to monkey with mixing fuel or the reliability issues inherent with carburetors and old gasoline. With a long, heavy duty extension cord I can reach the far corners of my orchard and garden. If I have to go any farther I will just wheel out the portable generator.

The media could not be loaded. I will start off by saying I have used the gas powered augers, 3 point augers on tractors and hydraulic augers on skid steers and this auger will hold its own and in some cases outperform the 3 point auger and gas auger. The MAJOR advantage to this auger over those 2 is that it has reverse that’s right reverse, so if you get it hung up on a root or rock you can just back it out no problem. I was definitely skeptical about an electric unit but this machine has serious torque. All 3 of the augers are interchangeable with a simple pin and key. The extension really made a back breaking job easier by not having to bend over so much. I drilled a 6” hole in dirt easy even after we haven’t had any rain in almost 2 months. I can’t speak on the longevity as I just received and have only used a few times but I will update after more use. Definitely something to keep in mind is to take your time and go slow and let the auger do the work and don’t force it. Worked as described. Very powerful... well worth my investment, even though I'll probably never use it again after having completed my project.

I was planning on renting one of these to build my wooden fence so when I saw this I was excited. I’m a bit worried that after we build the fence fully (we’re like 2/5 of the way done currently) that I may not have need of it anymore but I like that I’m not on a time constraint to hurry up and get it done so I can return it.My husband has been like a kid in a candy shop with this and has been living his best life out there drilling holes. He says it works very well, even in our harder ground areas that have a good amount of rocks throughout. He did say it’s a little heavy but it’s not really to hard to use.

I definitely want to review this one because I picked this up on a whim to do one job but it's come in handy several times. I was not thinking high at first figured it wouldn't work but I was really wrong. It had zero problems drilling through clay with the 8 inch bit with extension. Not only did it just walk it's way down but the reverse it's really great. Iv now used it on 6 different jobs that I didn't even know I needed it for and for the price was great to have around for the extra jobs. Definitely recommend priced right to justify getting it for one job and knowing it's there for what ever. It really didn't even seem to bind up at all just hummed and dug. The other thing is with the extra bits it's even nicer because I was soon in the need of a trench tool to run some wires but I think I am just going to use the 4 inch bit and walk a drill line instead. So in the end it's saving me money.

The auger is very powerful and did a deep hole with 6” bit with ease. I have to try the 8” bit which will be very helpful on planting big trees. The customer service from Proyama is very responsive and quickly my answered questions about the auger

I used this auger for digging holes in order to plant some trees. First of all, let me acknowledge the customer service representatives for this product, they are spectacular. If there's a problem or question that you have, they will contact you as early as possible to resolve your issue. Lets talk about the auger, this thing is worth every penny. It is easy to assemble and operate, but there is an art in how to use it to maximize its efficiency. You will need to purchase an outdoor extension cord to go along with it, but aside from that, it comes with everything that you will need to dig 4", 6" and 8" holes.I would definitely recommend this product.
