Great!
Great paddle!

Good power and control
The standard length 14mm version is a very good paddle for power, control and topspin, but I would say is somewhat more unforgiving than some other paddles if you miss-hit the ball. It’s a paddle that rewards intentional deliberate play, good for intermediate or better players, not beginners.

Good paddle with a big sweet spot, mediocre spin and control
Its a good paddle but not the huge upgrade i was hoping for over my older paddle that is more control focused. This does have a good sweet spot so i have fewer off hits and is somewhat poppy so its better at deflecting hard hits predictably at the line, but i dont get as much spin generation as i had hoped and im more prone to hitting long, maybe will just take time to get used to

Good surface texture for spinning the ball
This is not my first Selkirk--I have also used the Selkirk Amped Pro Air (that was my first Selkirk). The Amped Pro Air has a hole on the paddle near the handle and no edge guard, whereas the Halo Pro has a solid face and an edge guard. The surface of the paddle looks and feels different too. After playing with the Selkirk Amped Pro Air for weeks, it took me about 15 minutes of practice to get accustomed to the Selkirk SLK Halo Pro. Once I did, I felt the same level of spin, control, and power as with my first Selkirk. Loved it! My game depends on spinning, and this paddle was fine for me--an intermediate player. I feel that is the target audience for this paddle. I played with this Selkirk SLK Halo Pro MAX paddle for several months, rotating it with other paddles, until I replaced it with a JOOLA Ben Johns Hyperion that I use to this day.

Great great racket
This racket is incredible. A large upgrade to my last few rackets. Ball comes off so well. Pops. Great control. Looks great ahd feels so comfortable. My issue is the racket was $20 cheaper the day after I purchased and I could not receive a price match through Amazon

Halo Pro XL: The BEST Pickleball Paddle I’ve Used to Date
One note up front: my review shows that I tested the Halo Pro Max, but I actually received and tested the Halo Pro XL. And I am SOOOOO glad that I received the XL (and not the Max). The XL is the PERFECT paddle for aggressive power players like me. I am very impressed with this paddle’s performance. I play several games of pickleball almost every day of the year – and have been doing so for years. As such, I have purchased, been gifted, and tested many different paddles: from entry-level paddles in pickleball sets to high-end pro paddles (some even significantly more expensive than this one). Hands down, this is my favorite paddle to date. The Halo Pro XL has a longer handle and a longer (taller) face. I am a power player: I try to make every shot with maximum swing, which means my reset time is slightly longer. The longer handle and face of this paddle allow me a little extra reach and time to connect with the return shots. The longer handle also gives me ample room for a strong, two-handed backhand swing. But what’s most noticeable above other paddles I’ve used is that the ball jumps off this paddle with more power from my swings BUT without any loss of control. Other power paddles add some oomph to the ball but usually at the sacrifice of some accuracy. This paddle accurately delivers my power shots every time. I also like that this paddle has a slightly thinner handle which fits my smaller hands better. The Halo Pro XL is definitely my new paddle of choice.

Great Control - Amazing Paddle Face Surface - Trusted Brand for a Good Reason
This Halo line of Selkirk (SLK) brand pickleball paddles is toward the top of their brand, and with this paddle in hand I can feel why. I've had a week now to play with it and bang balls off of my practice wall, and even use it in a couple of social games where we play a control/spin game and not so much of a power game, so I've had ample opportunity to really feel the performance. And I love it. The paddle face is the raw carbon fiber and it's extremely regular in the spacing of the gritty texture due to very good quality thermoforming of the paddle. Huge sweet spot with nice soft center that absorbs and gives me great ball-feel on each hit and it increases dwell time for good control, plus that adds more to my ability to spin, or even to do outright slices. I love these edge guards and clearly they're injected with an epoxy that forms a sort of frame around the paddle, almost like a strung racquet, which also helps me feel each shot and definitely improves consistency. I love this paddle.

Good Paddling
It's a good paddle - I thought it would have more spin. Sometimes it's like it has a dead spot - but I think that is just my really bad playing. I like the paddle

bon produit
Je jouais avec une raquette à 20$. Celle-ci va bien. Je trouve que c'est une bonne raquette intermédiaire pour +- 150$.

My Game Has Improved!
I really lopve this paddle! I've played much better since I got it. My only complaint is that it didn't come with a cover. The Amazon covers seemed pricey but I found a Prince cover on sale at SportChek for $5.88 so now my nice racquet is protected.
