Review: I needed to micro position some stuff in 3 dimensions for some microscopy work and this works great. Pay attention to the size and adjustability of the platform because for most uses it would be too small. Not as much info in the description as you'd like and there are no drawings or instructions, so you have to know what you are doing. For instance, loosen all three knurled nuts before turning the positioning dials. Also, both the top plate and bottom plate are 60x60x6mm (That is about 2 and 3/8 inches square for those of you that can't think metric). There are 9 threaded mounting holes on the top that accept 4mm screws. The screw holes are centered 5mm off the edge of the plate. The bottom plate has 4x4.45mm through-holes centered 5mm off the edge of the platform to accept 4mm socket-head screws. To access these holes you need to move the x-feed all the way in one direction, install the first 2 screws, then move the feed all the way in the other direction to install the remaining two. Hope this is helpful. as an aside, if you need to provide a leveling function it is fairly easy to use the threaded holes on top to make a micro leveling plate similar to a 3-d printer bed because 6 of the threaded holed can be accessed underneath --you can get knurled 4 mm screws and install them from underneath the top and they become micro levelers (there is a bit more to it if you want springs, etc, but if you care about this sort of thing you get the picture). Hard to lock real accurately however. **Q: How much force can this stage withstand?** A: 3.5 kg **Q: What is the thread pitch of the holes in the top of the stage?** A: The threaded holes in the top are M4-0.7 mm, with a 0.7 mm pitch. This is considered a coarse thread, and it is the most common pitch for M4 screws. I was never able to find this information anywhere and had to take a chance ordering some M4-0.7 mm screws, but can confirm that they do fit.
