Amazing read, very easy to understand and extremely helpful in life.
AMAZING book, can recommend it to everyone in life, not just those who wants to loose weight or has Diabetic problems. It is great for everyday living, choosing the healthy way, and educating your children from the start....I wish this book was introduced to me many years ago, however, after developing gestational diabetes I looked up reading material and came across this. Not only is it an easy read, it is extremely interesting, easy to understand, written in such a way that you can always go back and look up something very easily, plus has a few recipes in each chapter, to guide you in the right way. I recommend that teenagers also read this book, not only adults. I am giving this book as birthday presents from now on!

Anyone tired of being sick should read this book.
I know sugar and gluton are poison to our system but it is hard to keep on a sugar free diet especially when our world seems to be full of it. Try to walk into a grocery store and find something to eat that doesn't have sugar. I you get this book out it quickly reminds you of how bad sugar is and helps you say no to the stuff. I have been on a sugar and glutan free diet for several months now and feel better then I have in years. The weight is starting to come off too so do yourself a favor if you want to start feeling better and read this book.

I love this book! I bought several copies for my family & friends.
In a search to discover what my health ailments are, I have read several books on sugar, including "Sugar Shock!", "Lick the Sugar Habit", "The Yeast Connection" and "Get the Sugar Out". Although all the books were very helpful, this one was my favorite because it offered simple and practical solutions that were stated in very clear terms. I continually use this book as a reference guide and love the recipes that are located inside. This book is definitely worth your time and money - you'll use it for years to come.

Basics are covered, good for newbies
This one has some decent basics on the evils of sugar - specifically, processed white sugar. There's also discussion on sugar substitutes. If I were just beginning my research on getting the sugar monkey off my back, this would be a suitable resource. If you're like me and you're maybe a book/class/seminar or 2 or 3 into healthy lifestyle investigation, I would skip it. I do think the 501 tips might be handy for newbies, too.

Great read
I am learning alot about the hidden sugar that are put in everyday foods. It's not just enough to cut the obvious sugar because it is still so much out there. Ann Louise Gittleman is the best thing that can happen to those who are truly trying to get to the heart of real weight loss and success in finding a lifestyle plan to live by, that really works.

Lots of to do's
I bought this book to get ideas to help my sugar addiction. It doesn't really address the addiction and stratagies to over come it, but it has lots of ideas to avoid sugar.

I have given this 4 stars as I only looked ...
I have given this 4 stars as I only looked at it briefly before wrapping it as a gift. It seemed quite sound and informative with recipes as well, but no time for a complete read through or practical application of the strategies suggested so this is not an in depth review.
