Great phaser and arrived same day!
I've used the two "biggies" over the past several years, the MXR Phase 90 and the EHX Small Stone. While I like both - heck, they're both legendary - I strongly prefer the DOD 201. Like the Phase 90 and Small Stone, it is elegant in its simplicity; you get one knob, which in this case, alters both phase rate and depth. What I really like about this particular phaser is that it boarders on a vibe sound, minus the warbly sea-sickness that can be evoked from more extreme settings on dedicated Uni-Vibe-style pedals. For me, it's a perfect blend of phase and vibe that sits nicely in a mix and adds to my sound without completely overtaking it, whether it be lead or rhythm. The price, and the fact that it arrived on my doorstep same-day, are gravy.

Very good phaser, particularly for the price.
Great phaser - solidly built. In the same family, but different from the mxr/small stone.

Not bad, but it needs intensity added
For the price you can't really complain, but if you get 1 or 2 pedals going with this one you will not hear it. I wish it had an intensity knob.

DOD Phasor 201 Goodness
Really enjoying the DOD Phasor 201. Exactly the sound I was looking for. I originally was using a Uni-Vibe pedal, but the Phasor was the sweeping sound that I was after all along. Who knew one knob could be so sweet?!? Does not darken or taint original signal/sound at all and quite a bargain! Definitely recommend this pedal.

Three Stars
I was hoping for a deeper phase but ah well. I've made it work.

Just Okay
You get phase, but it is limited. I agree with the other reviews indicating a lack of intensity. If you wanted this to punch through some of your other effects when you engage - it will get washed out. I also found the step button to be a little rough - seems like it wanted to catch in the last 1/8 inch. It is decent bypass - didn't detect any signal loss. I do wish the 9V compartment was easier to access - have to unscrew 4 tiny screws on the bottom of the unit - but it does allow plug into a AC/DC adapter. I got it on sale from GC for $50 so it is decent for that kind of price. That said, when I'm ready to get serious about a pedal board, I don't see this one sticking around.

but it is very good at what it does
Very simple. Classic analog phaser sound. Not a do-all effect, but it is very good at what it does.
