I realy think these are a good thing too have , I have a few different ones and this one seems solid. I cant really measure the vacum levels but it seems too be pretty well insulated and is holding ice as well as I expect but not as well as the best of the best. That is rare though so I do not consider that a fault. To do so would be akin too faulting a car for not going 400kph. Yes, some do but its not too be expected.I found it has a nice selection of tops a few like the cup top and the bottle top are fine but did not suite my taste as I have lil ice cubes that can escape.So I ended up using the default flip top. its the long skinny one. It seals easily and does not chug since it has a pin hole vent.Really I have no complaints here.I do like the handles though too explain why is a bit tough. They all have them yet I find the feel of these is a bit more natural.The Stainless top is a rather nice addition as well, it looks too have some insulation space and adds a bit of style . I never thought I would be pictureing tomato soup, ice fishing and using the word style simultaneously, but the day has finally come.I tried the leak test which Is often a fail and even with the vented flip top an it passed. Speaking of which the straw does not interfear either .So All good. It is on par insulation wise with other good brands I buy. I like the tops slightly better. It seems a good value, and no leaking.Go for it.

I was impressed by the size and the accessory lids when I first unpacked this. It seemed to have everything I could have wanted in an insulated water bottle. Attractive matte black finish, too. But the real question is how well will it maintain temperature of the contents? I decided to put it to the (non-scientific) test. At 9:10am, I filled it halfway full with bullet shaped ice from my ice maker, then filled the bottle with 75° F tap water, put the straw lid on it, closed it up, gave it a shake, then using my instant read thermometer, checked the temp of the contents: 38° F. Put it on the kitchen counter, room temp 70° F, in front of a south-facing window and left it.At 11:10am the water was 37.2° Fat 1:10pm it was 34° F (slowly melting ice brought down the temp)at 1:15pm, I set it outside, air temp about 74° F, in full sun hitting that matte black finishat 4:20pm water temp was 35° F, outside of the thermos was quite warmat 6:00pm, water temp was still 35° F, outside was still quite warmAt this point, I decided 8 3/4 hours was long enough to show the capabilities of this. Never once did the exterior temperature reflect the much lower internal temperature. Granted, I didn't really put it in a really hot environment, and I didn't test it with hot contents, but it seems to me for most thermos- type uses, this one meets the challenge and then some. Recommended.

Perfect gift idea. This is a really well made tumbler. With its' 4 different lids, it will work for anyone in just about any situation. The 40oz size is perfect for keeping you hydrated. No having to run for fill ups all the time. It is wonderful at keeping drinks hot/cold for hours on end. The tumblers have a pop of color on the lid, making them stand out from everyone else's. Not s bad price for a tumbler this versatile.

The Milton Stainless Steel Water Bottle, with its 40 ounce capacity and four distinct lids, is a great - you don’t need to refill. Its double-walled vacuum insulation keeps drinks cool for much longer than a workout. Hours upon hours.However, there are 2 big problem. The base is too wide to fit in standard car cup holders (and I've tried 3) or the holders on gym equipment. This limits convenience, especially when you're on the move or in need of fluid on a machine.Worse, the handle broke off from my daughter just carrying it in the gym. So now she has a thick water bottle that doesn’t fit in her hand or car cup holder. It’s basically useless except for at home.With this handle and size problem, I simply cannot recommend this for gym workouts.

Great water bottle, love the variety of lids but mostly I like a lid with a straw. And really this works just fine but the straw is hard plastic so if you are on say a dirt road trying to drink it's not as comfortable as a bottle with a soft mouthpiece for the straw. Other than that, it's insulated plenty well, keeps drinks cold until the last sip in most situations. I suppose with the black color if you left an inch of water in the bottom and left it in the sun it would probably get warm but that's not how I roll.
