I have rosacea. I have been told to moisturize and to wear sunscreen at all times.I have gone to the cosmetics store and they sold me something that made me look like I was sick. Quite a few neighbors asked if I was feeling okay when they saw me wearing it. So I ordered a product from Amazon. My fault…..way too pale again.3rd time is the charm as they say. I’m fair skinned. Before going grey I had naturally strawberry blonde hair. I have green eyes. What I’m saying is that I am normally pale.This color goes well with my skin tone without making me look like I’m wearing makeup.It’s not greasy or shiny. I think I have finally found the perfect product and at a fraction of what it paid at the specialty makeup store.I’m very happy with this product.

After many months of alternating this product and Elta MD’s popular UV daily tinted sunscreen (and also trying the La Roche tinted sunscreen-not a fan of that one AT ALL), this one looks the best on my skin after several hours of wear and actually hydrates my skin while I’m wearing it.Lately I’ve been having dryness and peeling/flaking from tretinoin. On the days I use Elta MD, l feel like it quickly dries on top of the dry patches of skin and looks absolutely horrible! The Cera Ve, on the other hand, seems to be moisturizing my skin while I’m wearing it and my dry patches feel softer. It’s also super affordable and easy to find! When I wasn’t having these dry patches, the Elta MD worked fine for me but since they’ve occurred, I’ve really noticed a difference in how these two products perform. Would love to see it in a higher spf!

I had to return the first order because it had been used but I reordered and this one was fine. I purchased this for someone else but wound up keeping it. I am very fair and normally would use an ivory or light face product but this medium shade works well and I love the hydration from it. I can wear instead of makeup which I really like - especially in summer. I'm over 55 and this makes my skin look dewy so I would recommend for the older folks too! Will reorder in the darker shade for my friend who I had considered a medium tone so I would say great product but the color runs on the light side.

I’m very very pale and was worried this would be too dark. It’s not which is a relief (fyi for all you other pale ppl out there). I mix it with a higher spf and that sets me for most of a normal day. It does leave a greasy cast but that’s the nature of this type of sunscreen, flat out. I let it set for ~10 min and then put a primer on top and if I want, I’m good to go applying makeup after that. I thought others were a bit silly to mention the cap but man alive, it is so incredibly poor designed, someone should be fired. Would give it 4 stars for the cap, but giving 5 because of the surprise light tint.

If you have oily skin, I would suggest only putting a little bit on, or going with another sunscreen entirely. I put maybe the size of a nickel on the first time and it was a little too oily for me. I was kinda of sad because I really wanted this to work out. So after that first trial and error, I used less maybe the size of a dime or even less and it looks way better, but personally I don’t like that my skin feels oily with it on. There is some glow on my cheeks and forehead, but not where it is overbearing and looks oily (as you can see in the photo). If my skin didn’t feel so oily and didn’t feel like it was just sitting on my face, it would be perfect. I just don’t like that it makes my face feel like I haven’t washed it. Honestly the tint is there maybe the first few seconds it’s on your face, but it’s not like a big difference to me that I can notice it. It could be because I am only using just a little bit so I’m not getting enough to give me a noticeable tint. I really wanted to love this. If you have oily skin, I don’t think this will be a match for you. For reference, I have been using this for maybe a little over a week.

I contemplated the light or medium shades and couldn’t decide which shade to get. I read reviews and looked at their pictures and had such a hard time deciding. I’m 48, my skin is pretty fair and sensitive. I ended up getting the shade medium only because it was a couple dollars cheaper than the light shade. I’m glad I got medium. I think the light would be too light. The medium has a slightly orange tint to it and looks much darker in the bottle than on your face. You only need a tiny amount because it does take some time to absorb on the skin. It leaves a slight “glossy” look on your face but I don’t think it’s as shiny as the picture shows in person. It doesn’t feel thick or cakey on the face. The tint to it isn’t really enough to cover the pimple on my cheek, my freckles or the rosacea on my cheeks but it does tend to even out the color on my face. I don’t wear makeup very often so this will be perfect for everyday wear. It hasn’t seemed to dry out my face either but I did put it on after my vitamin c serum and moisturizer. I’m just now starting to take skin care seriously and this is my first tinted sunscreen but I like it. I especially like the price point compared to others. This is an honest review with no skin in the game and my personal opinion. At this price point it’s definitely worth a try.
