Panasonic, wow!!! ❤️
Just had my new Panasonic Z85 OLED 65” TV delivered and set up by Amazon Delivery. It is replacing a ten year old Samsung. Out of the box with no adjustments and streaming from an Apple TV, the picture looks AMAZING!!!! It is bright and vibrant with great and natural looking colors.I included a picture but it does NOT do this tv justice. It truly is a sharp and beautiful picture! Awesome quality! This picture looks better than the LG and TLC tvs I saw at Best Buy. I highly recommend this TV! ❤️❤️❤️Note: some have said the picture is not as bright as other tvs but IT LOOKS FANTASTIC! I’m watching it next to a window at 3:00 in the afternoon and reflections are very minimal. I don’t notice any reflections really unless I look for them. Again, the picture I posted with this review really doesn’t do this tv justice.Buy this and don’t think twice! It’s Panasonic so it’s built great, looks beautiful, and it comes with a great little sound system on the back of it with just enough bass to enjoy but not wake the neighbors. 😍😍😍 LOVE IT!!!!!

Excellent value WOLED, with some minor flaws
Awesome OLED TV, just with a few flaws. The picture quality and upscaling are incredible for the value. Especially being $1,100 (65) on sale and can hit all the major HDR modes. Just be aware there is no DTS passthrough. The biggest gripe I have with this TV is the only Dolby Vision modes are vivid, IQ, and dark. Which ultimately means if you watch any DV content during the day, you’re either stuck with an overly saturated picture via Vivid mode or an accurate picture that is just way too dark. I’ve tried everything to get the picture brighter in Dolby Vision Dark/IQ, it just is what it is. Otherwise the various picture modes are great, especially cinema, filmmaker and professional1 if calibrated correctly. Just be sure to turn up the brightness, contrast and high luminance or else this tv can be too dark during the day. Also, Fire TV can get a bit buggy, and the earc can have some issues unless you ensure a proper handshake between the tv and your audio device. I’ve had sound drop too many times until I factory reset my AVR.If you are willing to live with limited Dolby vision modes and prepare to address some bugs here and there, this is an awesome TV and well worth the value. I would compare it in between the B4/C4 and the Bravia 8. Highly recommend pairing with a streaming box like AppleTV or Nvidia Shield Pro because I notice the FireTV OS downscales content quite a bit.

Panasonic's triumphant return, highest recommendation!
Recently upgraded from a 17 year old Panasonic 720p plasma to the 55" Z85A OLED and the difference absolutely blew me away. The black levels, brightness, contrast, range of color spectrum, fidelity and detail are incredible, and I'm pretty particular when it comes to that stuff. 4K UHD and standard Blu-rays via the equally impressive Panasonic DP-UB820-K are next level on this TV and even non HD media gets a noticeable upscale boost as well. System settings are very straightforward and uncomplicated. Wanted to stay under 1K (mission accomplished!) and the package arrived with no issues aside from the UPS driver leaving it at the apartment two doors down from me but that wasn't Amazon's fault. I'd been originally eyeballing some of the Hisense HD displays but then noticed Panasonic suddenly appeared on the scene to rave reviews from tech channels and the choice was a no brainer. Superb value and bang for the buck from a tried and true brand, absolutely no regrets about this purchase. Highest recommendation possible!

An impressive yet reasonable step up for most home theaters.
Amazon deiivery left it at my front door, and with the help of a guy who was cutting the grass, we hauled it upstairs, unboxed it, attached the stand, lifted the assembly up on my dresser, put the enclosed batteries in the remote, and-- voila!-- in less than 30 minutes we had a perfect picture (wirelessly). The toughest decision was choosing between this TV and the similarly priced LG set. In the end, sentiment (Panasonic's re-entry after a 10-year hiatus) and the Japanese connection (as opposed to Korean) led to my selection. The set looks great though the OLED picture did not blow me away (at least, not as yet). It's perfect, though I couldn't see how its better than my LED sets (by Sony and Samsung), at least not without a side-by-side comparison. The sound is good though somewhat uneven to my musical ears (some notes popped out in the soprano register). The bass is present, though it's not the big theater-bass that a sub-woofer could supply. The only annoyance (minor). The value of the included Fire TV switch was nullified by my Spectrum cable subscription (legal regulations prevent Fire from carrying the Spectrum app). No deal-breaker (I've got extra Roku boxes, which should do the job during the end of the MLB season and start of NFL and NBA schedules.) All in all, a very reasonable step up to big screen TV and OLED technology (which I'd been following for 20 years, or ever since Sony premiered an OLED set with a 5" screen at a much bigger price).
