Works perfectly, same operation as Acard duplicates, with bluray option. Brilliant.

Swapped out an old tower with DVDr's for this and 3 BDR burners from amazon, and it all works great, super fast BluRay burning and waaay cheaper than buying a new BDR dupe tower!. Very happy.Delivery was a bit slow though, all the way from the US.

Worked fine no issues changing from ide to sata just had to change the cables

I hate to give it less than 5 stars, because it has worked so incredibly well. I love it!BUT, it has the capability of loading discs onto a hard drive and using those images as the source. I have a collection of about 300 DVDs and 75BDs. I bought a 3TB drive, plopped it in, formatted it from the controller. All was looking great. Started loading in BDs and after about 30 it said DRIVE FULL. Thirty BDs is roughly 600GBs.Contacted AmaMax via email and they replied almost immediately and told me to call. They were very helpful, but ultimately they said this controller can't handle a drive of this size. They said about 1.5TBs is the max, but like I said, I was full at 600GBs. So a little disappointing there. I was hoping not to have to constantly find and load masters to do a run every time I got an order.So basically using discs as a source, it's a robust 5 Stars! HD as source and it's pretty much a fail. They suggested using multiple smaller drives with a HD tray and that's ultimately what I'll probably end up doing, but it's a fairly inconvenient solution.

This is a good duplicator controller and has a above average menu. Keep in mind you can make this work in any case so if you have a BR burner and a hard drive or 2 burners all you need is an atx power supply and you are good to go. It would be nice if they gave you a link to a pdf version of the manual because this one is very small and hard to read, but if you search around you can find one for a like item, I found one for u-reach

works great to copy home movies for the whole family.

I was a little confused at first, but by the time I got everything hooked up I was good to go. I would maybe like a little bit better documentation for setup, but the operation is everything you would expect from one of these units. No manual needed.

I purchased the 1:5 controller to replace the failing controller in my duplicator. The controller I received bore no brand markings or anything of that sort, not even a model number. The "documentation" that came with it was a little pamphlet with pictures of an entirely different controller, some cartoonish images that would give no sense of where, for instance, to plug the hard drive, no reference to the USB connections that are on the controller, and my personal favorite (it being a LightScribe controller, the section on LightScribe usage, which I quote in its entirety: "7-8. PRINT LS Label This function will let you using the Lightscribe technology to print your own image on discs. The operation process please refer to Appendix Lightscribe Operation." You may be unsurprised to learn that there is no such appendix.I thought I might go to Anamax's website to download the correct manual for my controller and, perchance, aforementioned appendix. If this material is available there, it is very effectively hidden.As a result, the item is entirely useless to me.UPDATE: During half an hour online with tech support at Amamax, how this thing functions was finally revealed to me. It works quite well, but not in a way you would ever guess -- nor does the "documentation" provide any clues. Tech was much nicer than the "support" I received via email.If they are going to sell these things, they need to document them, fully, and in English as opposed to English arrived at via google translate. Good product, but i bought a controller, not a puzzle, and without the documentation it is less the former than the latter.

The product that came is BD1806L, the photo on the site is of another product. the describtion does not state the amount of memory on board. on the picture when you zoom it it shows 512MB, in fact there is only 128MB. The BIOS should be upgradable by cd, Amamax wrote back that they do not update the BIOS, and there is no link to do that.The product that came is good, prices reasonabley, and does the job. I am using it with 4 BD burners, and one hard disk, this allow to burn 3 copies in copy mode, or if the image on the hard disk burn 4 at the same time.It does have an option of load and copy, which copy the master to the hard disk, and make copies to the other drives. I wish it had PC connection to trarnsfer data to the hard disk, but there is no option, and no explanation next to the unused connectors.

This product does as advertized and I would recommend it for the price. I would give it 5 stars if I could interface it with my PC. It would be an excellent product if Windows could see it as an external SATA controler. Also, while a dedicated hard drive may be connected to one of the SATA ports for image burning, I would prefer that it could be networked and able to use image files from the network. Also, nowhere in the documentation does it describe the function of the various non-SATA headers on the board and their possible uses.

First of all, this product IS great. It comes with everything you need, and customer support was fast and friendly. That being said, there is a reason it did not get 5 stars. I bought this controller mainly for the Lightscribe technology. The point of building your own duplicator is simple - $$$. I found a great deal on some used Lightscribe drives, and planned to use them with this controller. However, it only supports certain drives for LS technology. It works PERFECTLY with all my drives burning discs. Fully automated, you just pop in a mast and 11 blanks and it does the rest. As for the lightscribe, it is useless to me. A disclaimer would be nice, showing the supported LS drives.

Interface clean, simple and efficient. Buttons feel firm and are very responsive. All in all good value as it meets its promises!
