My fave night time skin product
I LOVE this stuff! I NEVER post reviews so please take my rec and buy the cream! Pros: AMAZING skin texture, it’s helping out my hyperpigmentation and melasma, and keeping breakouts down. When used right, super comfortable to sleep in. I wake up with the plumpest, glowing skin and after a wash and sunscreen, I’m ready for the day! I have sensitive skin and this product does not irritate my skin if used correctly (see tips). Cons: It doesn’t smell that great but not at all bad. It smells like how Vaseline smells but different. It’s also thick but don’t be tempted to use more (see tips). Tips/Advice: 1. It WILL itch if you use a lot. Made that mistake one night and washed it off my face within 5 minutes. PEA SIZED AMOUNT or LESS, please heed my warning! It will spread out just fine with the warmth of your face but again, less is more with this product (and will stretch your dollars farther)! 2. Don’t use it on a wet face as water, water-based products, and liquid products will make it itch/sting/tingle (this is my experience at least). I use it just before I’m ready to go to bed (it stays on my nightstand) and I apply a little bit before I go to sleep. This is so any products I use at night have time to dry down on my face. It’s my last step in my night time routine. Make sure you wash it off in the morning and USE SUNSCREEN! 3. Build up to using it more often. I can comfortably now use it every other night but it took me a whole month to get to a point where I wasn’t worried about any reactions. (I only had one reaction tho and that was my own fault.) With any new skincare product, you SHOULD let your skin acclimate to the ingredients and formulas. This product is definitely controversial in the reviews but don’t let it scare you. Just take the precaution and build up your tolerance for it before wearing it every single night off the bat. It’s really concentrated so again, take your time and only use a pea-sized amount or less. I’m talking a small pea too, or like the size of a peppercorn! Hope this is helpful. I will update with a “before and after” after more time using. I’ve been using it for a month and have already noticed phenomenal difference in my skin. Give it time, build up to using it more often, and wear your sunscreen. I REPEAT, WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN.

Learning curve to this cream. Worth every penny!
This works great!! Just give it a month. A few things you should know about this before trying and quitting using it. You have to use this on a completely dry face. It can sting otherwise. I wash, moisturize, then get ready for bed and about 5 min later put it on. I will be honest, it’s sticky like Vaseline and the smell is slightly off putting. Start slow. At first use it once a week for a few weeks, then two for a few more, then work your way up to more. No more than once every 2/3 days. I have decently sensitive skin and doing it that way caused no pain or tingles. I noticed a small change after one use, but after a few months I feel I’m aging backwards. I’m 47 and have been starting to notice old face skin things, but this has made me look and feel like I’m aging backwards. My skin has turned soooo soft and it’s only been 2 months! It’s expensive now but it lasts for months, so really it’s only about $10/month to make such a difference. We spend that much on a coffee or a cocktail and they do nothing for us! I’m not one who freaks out or does much for anti aging but decided to try this. It’s effective and way cheaper than Botox or surgery. Not that i would ever consider those. Just eat good for you foods, get outside, exercise a bit, smile some, and use this cream! You’ll be young “forever”!

Now I Understand the Hype — Gentle, Effective Vitamin A That Actually Works
I’m 52, post-menopausal, and I’ve used a lot of retinol and vitamin A products over the years — serums, creams, prescription-strength formulas, you name it. I bought A313 purely because of the hype and curiosity, fully expecting it to be overblown. Well… I get it now. I absolutely love this. This is not your typical trendy retinol serum. The texture is unique — more like a lightweight ointment-cream hybrid — and it spreads easily with a small amount. It feels protective and cushioning rather than aggressive, which makes a huge difference for mature skin. Instead of that telltale sting or dryness, my skin feels supported and comfortable while still clearly doing the work. What impressed me most is how effective it is without irritation. My skin looks smoother, more refined, and more even over time, but I’m not dealing with flaking, redness, or that fragile feeling some retinoids cause. It’s powerful in a quiet, steady way — the kind of long-game vitamin A product that improves skin quality rather than shocking it into submission. I use this at night, applied sparingly over well-hydrated skin, and it plays beautifully with a simple routine. My skin looks firmer and clearer by morning, and with continued use it just looks healthier overall. This is especially impressive given how picky my skin has become post-menopause. This product feels very “French pharmacy” in the best sense — practical, science-driven, and results-focused without unnecessary extras. If you’ve tried retinols before and found them irritating, or if you want something effective but respectful of mature skin, this one truly deserves its cult status. I’m genuinely glad I tried it. This has earned a permanent place in my routine, and I finally understand why people swear by it.

I don't know what I was expecting
It's fine. I bought it because of all the hype on tiktok to take on my newly aging face and I did start using it slowly as I was very aware of the potential for a reaction I did not have a reaction thankfully I was able to mix it with a regular face lotion to avoid that and increase the amount that I used overtime. I didn't really notice a difference other than my face being much more moisturized and I don't know if that's because this is made with like a petroleum base I actually didn't look before I started this review but it does lend itself to Great moisturization and did not affect my makeup or anything else. I stopped using it because I just wasn't seeing a lot of results but I'm starting to think that skin care in regards to anti-aging is a huge hoax. What are you doing in here anyway it's fine it works as far as it goes on your face.

I am 58 years old. I have been applying A313 four out of seven nights a week-the nights before I go to work. I do not have any issues with excessive stinging or redness; so I am not mixing it with my face cream. It feels a bit like petroleum jelly when it first goes on; hence the use throughout the night. When you wake up in the morning, your skin is so smooth and soft. And I saw results the very first day I had used it. The lines at the corners of my eyes, the bags under my eyes and the loose skin on my neck where all much less noticeable. I am loving how youthful it is making me look and feel. I only wish it would have a more permanent effect. I lasts about 8-12 hours for me. But perhaps after I use it for several months, I might see longer-term changes.

I have been using the cream for about 3 weeks and had never used a retinoid before. I wanted to give it a try because I'd heard very good things about it and it contain retinyl esters and not retinol, so I figured that it could be suitable for beginners too. I started by using a a pea-sized amount and buffered by using a moisturiser first, followed by the cream. I broke out in the first two weeks which I believe was a "retinol purge". I only had some very minor irritation. I used it twice a week in the first couple of weeks and have now increased to three times. It's too early to say anything about results but the break outs are gone now and my skin has a good complexion the morning after applying the cream. I mainly wanted to leave a review on how to start. So if you're not super sensitive and start carefully by buffering first, you can use this cream even if you've never used a retinol before.

Amazing stuff and everyone should have this on their skin routine. I use every other day and my skin is the best it’s ever been - advice; applied to wet moisturised skin, cos it tingles!

As a 54-year-old retinol 'connoisseur,' I had high hopes for A313 given some of the celebrity hype. I'm currently using it every 2-3 nights, depending on how my sensitive, reactive skin feels. While it does leave my skin smooth and nicely refined, the texture takes some getting used to. It’s quite thick and needs to be warmed in your hands before applying so that the skin doesn't drag. It also feels slightly tacky after application, which might not be for everyone. Even though it's not the most drying retinol treatment, there's sometimes a slight tingle, and I usually slather a thick night cream over it to mitigate the drying effects. And - in spite of the 'miracle' hype - the retinol content is actually very low compared with some other products, so it'll never be a silver bullet for aging (though that also makes this a good option for first-time users). I haven't experienced the usual flakiness/tingling which often come with a new retinol product or huge outbreak of reactivity (the odd aggravating 'purging pimple'). Whether it meets the hype, I guess, really depends on your skin type and age - and it hasn't worked miracles because nothing does, especially for the incredibly reasonable price. Worth a try for anyone who doesn’t mind the slightly 'medical' texture and smudges on the pillow case.
