I was wrong. I may actually need the cap that is one size smaller. However, exchanging this one is a hassle, and as it is just barely on the large side, I only worry about driving with the top down. I will have to ponder the merits.As for the cap, it is wonderful. The quality and workmanship are spot-on. It is perfect in the Florida heat and humidity. The look and linen construction are beautiful. I am not loosing my hair. In fact, due to the Covid virus, I have not had my hair cut in 3 months. I look like a shaggy dog driving a BMW Z4. I worry that the cap may become self evidently large when it is safe to return to regular life, as we knew it.I highly recommend this hat as the linen is so light , and heat transfers so easily, it is comfortable on the head. IT also shades the eyes from direct sunlight. The hat looks great on, and with a pair of sunglasses, you are well protected in a stylish manner. Please measure your head, and not guess as I did. I bought it to keep in my purse, because it is compact and I can fold it in half. We have a convertible and when we have the top down, I need something to keep the sun out of my eyes and to keep my hair from blowing all over the place and getting tangled. It has a short brim with reinforcement in it so that it stays rigid. That is perfect because it doesn't flip up from the wind and it shades your eyes. I can tuck all my hair under it. I don't have to worry about forgetting my hat when we go for a ride because it is right there in my purse. I bought it in a light color so that it would be cool for the summer months. It is linen too, which is a great fabric for summer. I can also pull it out if it is raining and I don't want my hair to get wet between the car and a restaurant or something.
