Vertical Milling in the Home Workshop
This was an excellent book when written some years ago; it's still good now but has become slightly dated, having no reference to the cheaper machines, equipment and tools currently (2013) available. I believe it is aimed at an ambitious amateur with existing milling experience. It contains a wealth of information and practical tips from a very experienced engineer.

You need this if you have bought a new milling machine, even if you are experienced.
Good content a great reminder on how it's done and some surprisingly new ideas, with safety in mind, 10 out of 10.

Worthwhile reference book
A little dated, examples of milling machines mentioned are old and in my limited experience not easily obtained. Language used is clear.

Non technical book
Fantastic title but don’t be fooled as I was the contents is absolutely useless with just a load of old photographs with little or no technical information.

A practical guide for the beginner
This is an easy to read guide for the beginner and with many photographs to compliment the written script is easy to understand.

College Level - not High School level
This series of books is very technical. I was hoping for a high school level course but these seem more college oriented. But, I can't complain about a product being TOO good, can I?
